The guy is from Monrovia, Liberia which is the epicentre of the ebola outbreak. He was allowed to board a flight to Dallas since he was asymptomatic at the time of testing for fever, and the chances of contracting ebola from an asymptomatic person are extremely low unless you happen to ingest their blood (bad luck vampires).

There is no reason to lose your minds over this. In the US, there are means to contain ebola, unlike in Africa, so things aren't going to get out of hand. Ebola is not easy to spread. The only time you need to be vigilant is around people who are showing symptoms and the steps you can take to prevent any chance of infection are fairly basic...

    Wash your hands regularly.
Avoid contact with the bodily fluids of other people, especially those showing symptoms.
Do not handle items that may have come in contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person.
Do not touch bats or primates, or eat meat prepared from these animals.
Seek medical care immediately if you have a fever.
Limit the people you are in contact with if you are showing symptoms, and travel directly to a medical facility.

The climate in US is not ideal for ebola to spread so calm down folks.

I don't think it will be too much longer before IS and other radical muslim groups realize that they have been handed a real gift. Quite simply, all they have to do is unstrap the bombs from the suicide bomber's chests, buy them air tickets to West Africa and have them infect themselves, by the hundreds, with Ebola. Then they could disseminate them throughout the world. Instant uncontrollable world wide catastrophe! Cheap and easy.
Even a mere 100 of these "Ebola bombers" could spread this disease far beyond any health care control, if that was their intent.

Also note that terrorist groups are trying to culture the virus "in vitro". If they are successful, global disaster will befall all of humanity.

That's exactly the point. All these fanatics think they'll end up in some fucking paradise with 70 virgins; that's why it's so easy to get them to strap on the suicide vests in the first place. They WANT to die! And take as many infidels with them as they can.
Nobody ever said radical Islam made sense.

Unless you live in a third world country with shit medical facilities and primitive sanitation I wouldn't worry too much. Outbreaks of various serious diseases happen nearly every week in African countries and they don't make the news.

At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, I believe that a higher, human power is allowing this disease to spread, and it's all deliberate. The government does not want us to be healthy, or alive for that matter.

I absolutely agree with you. As I understand, AIDS and lime disease were deliberately unleashed upon humanity by the US government. I doubt this is any different. It's also related to fear mongering. It's psychology that by keeping us in fear they control us. Do you ever notice they always pushing fear about everything? Al Qaida has turned into ISIS?!? what's next?

We do live in 3rd world countries, but we are not worried. It wouldn't help, would it?. As a matter of fact we are right in the middle of a Chick V outbreak of epidemic proportions at this time.
However, an intentional effort to spread Ebola should be something the international community should concern itself with. Several thousand cases appearing at once in the US, UK and the EC would quickly overwhelm the medical systems and this could easily get out of hand. What you refer to in Africa, are natural outbreaks spread naturally, not outbreaks spread with intelligent intent. There would be no controlling that!

  • wistfulmaiden

I don't believe its so hard to spread as "they" claim, how do so many people catch it in Africa? Im sure the American doctors weren't licking anybody's open wounds.
I think you can probably get it through saliva drops in the air. Not in every instance but if someone sneezes/coughs right in your face.

I sure hope it wont spread its going to be a lot like that movie "Contagion) except a lot more gory.
