I can't help it! I'm a senior girl in high school.. I'm popular, I have lots of friends.. But I pick my nose and eat my boogers. I've tried to stop bit I can't help it! I'm not a freak.. But I feel like one when I go to the bathroom during prom to pick my nose! :(
Actually, a lot of people do this, children and a lot of adults too, most are simply too programmed by society to admit it. Strangely enough studies have been done on this and it turns out it actually has some health benefits. This actually boosts your immune system and so I suspect that's why so many people just instinctually do it.

Haven't logged in since I posted this (four years ago) but I felt compelled to reply to you.
1. This post wasn't about popularity.. Was there to prove a point that I had a lot of friends and wasn't some weird friendless kid that sat in the corner of the cafeteria by herself. Was trying to show that it wasn't expected of me. I am older, still have friends, and I'm not useless at all. So you can shove something large up your ass for that ignorant comment.
2. I'm assuming you have no friends since you seem so against people having lots of friends. I hope you find some friends.
3. I don't eat my boogers anymore.
