Oh guy! ITs is totally normal trust me. If you do not think it is normal ask my uncle Phil, he puts a napkin around his neck, in his lap, in the top of his shirt, and if they r enough napkins though, he put one in his shoes. He is crazy- trust me!!!
yes, my parents make me tuck my napkin in my collar during meals. So yes it is normal in my family.
fuck it man.... r u gng 2 eat at a restaurant or rampwalk wid a napkin on ur lap... u choose
I wouldn't say normal, but nothing wrong with it. I've only ever seen people with their napkins in their laps.
Yeah it is probably a better idea in some cases to put it on the top of your shirt, because then it acts as a kind of shield to your entire shirt yet with it on your lap you are only protecting pants which may be covered by shirt anyway.
Ya it looks hokey. There are some circumstances where it is OK - like a lobster dinner picnic. But otherwise, you just look like a big kid who can't eat without dribbling all over themselves.
don't worry about it man, u can put that napkin in any of those place.
myself i hardly ever use the napkin. i keep it by the side of the table, and use it to wipe my hand and face IF needed. (and so far i have never dropped food, not once) and i don't care 2 cents of what any1 would think of it.
cheers
well it's normal but you should also learn to eat without making a mess on yourself
I think it is normal because my dad has always makes me tuck a paper napkin in my shirt collar during meals both at restaurants and at home. Dad is military and a neat freak, so getting food stains on my shirt is not allowed. Dad has a two napkin rule (One tucked in collar and one across the lap) My clothes are stain free!!
Emily Post would be aghast, but as a practical matter, a napkin bib a lot more effective way to protect a shirt and tie from a messy lunch.
