Eat like crazy but lost 11 lbs since last year?

I am an eating MACHINE. I eat a balanced diet consisting of unhealthy and healthy foods...but I eat a lot. At least I think I do.

Some days I'll forget to eat, other days I can't STOP eating. I don't work out any more (used to) and other than walking, I just play video games, for the most part. I weigh 119 lbs right now and I was shocked when I did (I went from 132 last year, to 122 earlier this year, and now 119). I mean that's not a LOT of weight but...god, it is to me.

Nothing against skinny people, but I don't want to be too skinny. I like what I have right now - round face, curves, and an actual butt - and I'm quite happy with myself. My mother looked like me when she was my age but since she's always running around she'd lost weight and now she's skinny. Not in an UNHEALTHY way but, pretty skinny. I think she's pretty and all but it's just not the look I want for myself, y'know?

Idk. Is it normal to have lost weight even when I do literally NOTHING but eat? Alright that was an exaggeration, but, I DO really fuckin' eat. I don't want to get too skinny, I'm happy with my body now :(

Within the course of two weeks, I once lost 7 lbs. (From 138 to about 129, more or less), because I was two stressed to eat due to finals. Throughout the summer, my weight stabilized and I hardly ate the first week of school due to time constraints so I lost another 4. I'm having a hell of a time trying to get it back up. I lose weight easily but it takes me months to gain it. My top weight is 140 and I'm 5'5".

I have a hyperactive thyroid so that's why. It's not really natural. If the weight loss persists, maybe go see a doctor and ask them to test your thyroid. It's a blood test, it is very simple and routine.

You have either a good metabolism or worms.

Hard to say without knowing your age. If you're a growing teenager, it doesn't sound like anything odd to me... if in doubt, see a doctor.

    • I'm 18. Not sure if that's still considered a growing teenager or not, eheheh.

I really want to gain more weight. My hips are starting to go thin!

One of my friends is only 96 pounds and 5'3 and she eats 10x more than me and never gains any weight. I gain weight if I eat garbage so I have to always watch what I eat.

Yeah, likely metabolism but if you are really worried then go your dr & get checked out.
Thyroid problems among other things can cause weight gain/loss.
But I'm basically the same. I'm 6' (or thereabouts) & maybe 75kg so quite skinny but I eat 4+ meals a day + usually dessert & snacking.
Some people are just like that...
