    Don't skip the (lean) protein. Your weight loss will be deceiving and detrimental to your health and your ability to actually KEEP the weight off. If you can't stick with a certain program for the rest of your life, then it isn't appropriate for true FAT loss.

    Losing weight is mathematics. Either consume less calories than you burn in a day or burn more calories than you consume in a day. Get that in your head, do some calculations and it is easy. It is biology, plain and simple. Do the math and you will lose weight without exercise machines or pills.

    1.Cut out the junk food, especially POP. These are unnecessary calories, and will make you sluggish.
    2.Instead of eating three large meals a day, eat small servings throught the day.
    3.Snack! **Here are some of my favorites!
    -low fat string cheese sticks
    -fat free yoplait yogurt(the 100 calorie kind)
    -special K cereal (original)
    -Wheat thins (they're my favorite)
    -Edy's frozen juice bars
    -fruit (very satisfying with peanut butter)
    -almonds
    -Baked! Lays Chips (eat in moderation)
    4.Eat multi grains...avoid white flour products, such as white pasta and white sliced bread
    5. Eat lean meat, you need protein...
    -lean, grilled chicken breast
    -low sodium, sliced deli turkey
    -FISH FISH FISH! (not breaded)
    6.Drink water...sometimes, when we think we are hungry, we are just dehydrated, so drink up!
    7.Exercise...but don't over-do it because you won't want to continue with exercise each day.
    -try walking briskly for a half hour
    -jump rope during commercials
    -play that dance game on Wii
    -walk the dog
    -play with the kids...or nieces and nephews
    -use the stairs, instead of the elevator
    -walk aroundt the mall!

    These are just tips from my experience. I used to be 127 pounds and am now 105 pounds. I lost the weight pretty fast, within two months...Everyone is different though, so results may vary...and don't give up if you don't see results right away! Good Luck to you and God Bless!

    What a lot of you people don't understand is that just cutting calories doesn't really do anything. You are just cutting nutrients from your body and becoming more and more unhealthy. If you want to lose weight the hints answer is you walk/run/jog. I lost about 15lbs just by walking 6 hours a day in the Philippines. Eat regularly and enjoy it. But it's better if you walk and eat that way you get your nutrients and your health excersise. Also you should stretch! :3 it's good because you get your skeletal system working and you become more flexible for bed. (;

      youre young, and your hormones may be preventing you from losing weight right now...also, it is not advised to diet while at such a young age...just eat healthier and stay with a focused mind. Still exercise, exercise is healthy for any age.

    Fast for one month, no calories only water.

    One pound of fat = 3500 calories

    Average person uses approx 2,500 calories / day just living.

    If you ate 1,000 calories / day you would be burning 1,500 calories each day.

    1,500 calories x 30 days = 45,000 calories burned in one month

    45,000/3,500 = 12.8 pounds of fat gone.

    This quote will always be true, in ANY case.

    However, I believe it is easier to lose weight by going on a 2000 calorie diet, and then working out by running one mile daily. It sucks a LOT at first but after the second week you get better and better. I'm up to 1.5 miles on the tread and 2.5 on the elliptical machine.

    I run a mile in 8 min and on the elliptical I do a 6 minute mile.

    Don't forget to follow up the workout with weights and stuff, and try to keep your heart rate up.

    Protip: Stretch a LOT on EVERY muscle you can think of.

    Caloric deficit of about 1000 calories a day. Eat about 1500 calories, exercise 5 times a week. I recently lost 30 lbs in a little over 2 months. Of course the specific numbers depend on your size. Also, RUN.

    have you heard of Alli? It'll show you exactly what you've been eating, if it's crap that is.. idk, good pill. I had a positive experience with it and now I can say no to junk food because I saw just how bad it wad for me.

    Btw, it's not just for the obese, I was feeling a bit fat and felt my eating habbits were out of control so I tried it and liked it. It's not one of those crack diet pill that supposedly "gives you tons of energy" it simply blocks you from absorbing fat. Idk, it's worth a try! Ppl always say it "easy to lose weight!! Don't eat sugar, drink soda, eat fast food, candy, eat your veggies and excersize!!" ..if it was that easy we'd all look like models and mcdonalds wouldn't always be busy.

    Sometimes we all need a little assistance.

  • 6 small meals a day , good quality, and a lot of water along with 45 mins of circut training at least 3 times a week. The only way, and proven for everyone unless you have a medical problem. Your meals should be no bigger than the palm of your hand, and no fried foods, and cut starchy carbs and sugars out!

    jog/power walk with a weight vest equal to 15-25lbs depending on your weight for 2hrs everyday. The big factor is burning calories faster than you can put them on. sauna yoga also works, but it's hell to do.

    It's about having a healthy lifestyles, not only focusing on weight, but on your health in general. That will help prevent people yo-yo dieting as well. Green tea is great for weight loss and health in general. Also to avoid all processed foods, in particular high fructose corn syrup. And don't forget to find a kind of exercise that you enjoy! That way it's more about recreation than doing a chore. When you eat healthy, it WILL be fun and not a chore to find some type of exercise that is fun.

    The whole cutting half the necessary calorie amount thing, it's rediculous. You must consume 2,000, but with foods that are healthy.
    -Lean baked chicken
    -Boiled/steamed/raw veggies
    -Fruits: Most people put sugar on most fruits, don't do that. It defeats the purpose.

    Get active.
    It doesn't matter if you're in your room jammin' out like a fool to music or running a marathon. Many people find that dancing is fun, works up the heart rate, and can actually go longer than heavy duty running. I'm not a runner but I can dance for a long period of time. Ultimately, it just depends on how your body reacts to the physical things you go through.

    P.s: The time that you truly need to actually WORRY about your weight is if your doctor ever tells you you're borderline obese or you're borderline type 2 diabetic. Many people don't realize that there's a difference between unhealthy weight and just what they feel comfortable with. If size is a personal matter, just do things at a pace you're comfortable with.
    But if weight effects your health, then talk to your doctor and they'll get you on a necessary regimen.

  • lol during the summer break i was on some pills for my skin infection and it made me olmost not eat at all so i got maybe around 900 calories a day. i was 82 KG now im 70. and im pretty much happy about it.

    I agree with Fartyr; that it's all calorie-counting. Eat whatever you want, but make sure you get the needed calories only. Don't take too much. And don't starve--I seriously considered this, but realized I didn't want to lose the healthy look of my skin and hair.

    I speak from experience, as I've lost 40 pounds in three months with just that. No diet fads, no exercise regimens.

    All i have to do is have the usual cerial for breaky, and have chicken or fish with plenty of veg for dinner, with a few boiled new potato's and i easily loose 7lb in a week! People say i'm lucky, but I can put it all back on just as fast! :o(
