When my period blood has been sitting on my pad for a while and is dry it almost smells a little vinegary. Is that normal? Could it be the brand of pad I use that is contributing to the smell?
Also, I kind of like the smell. It's not like I would want to smell it all day, but it's not bad. Is that normal?

Yeah I don't sniff my pad, the few times I wear it, but like on the first day. It smells like tea, and a bit sweet. I can smell it from 3 feet away when I'm peeing, have my pants off, or something.(where my vag typically is) STOP BEING RUDE TO HER
Angelcake, you must be tall. My nose will never be 3 feet from my crotch. And when I squat it is barely a foot a way so of course I can smell it.
It's just your blood, not likely the pad. If the smell starts to change then you know something is wrong.

...please don't smell your pads after or before use..it's the pad bc they use alcohol to sterilize them and the blood is lifting it off the gauze..but really please don't sniff them
