You're going through a phase (and a very health-threatening one at that)! I suggest going a duration of time without drugs and seeing how it turns out. You will find out that drugs are false. Drugs only create a distorted version of your reality. If you're sad and depressed, they only make you more depressed. They may seem to make you happier, but only at first. I learned the hard way, and you may have to as well. But what I definitely recommend is for you to actually TRY to be sober for at least a month. TRY to have fun. TRY to socialize without substances. You might be surprised.
i used to feel like that with alcohol but after a while you get over it it's just a phase man
If your up to this point you should try going for help before the drugs reallly get to you
Completely normal. I realised at 20 that all i did was take drugs and booze it up. I had no job, i didnt go to university and i lived with my mum. I only felt good when i was out of my skull. So, i stopped the drugs and went and got a job, saved some cash and moved into my own place and continued to work hard. Now im a store manager with a modest income and most importantly im a part of the local community. I guess the point im trying to make is that so long as you feel you have self worth you will always feel like a someone.
I still smoke weed everyday, but i ALWAYS get everything that needs doing, done first. Keep the drugs and booze the least important thing in your life.
.. it should actually be the other way around.. it's pretty scary when you don't feel like yourself WITHOUT it. I know when I smoke up i feel unreal and strange, not myself.
Great advise-my advise to you IS TO TAKE IT! TAKE IT FROM ME WHO LET DRUGS RUIN MINE AND MY FAMILY'S LIFE FOR 13YRS, QUIT USING NOW!!
Yes its normal, but that doesnt make it ok to do, drugs are destructive, not only to you but others around you. You may not feel like yourself because, like me, you may perceieve things differently as an adult versus a kid or teenager, your world around you may feel bland or your partially desensitized from your surroundings when in comparison to when you were younger. Another is you possibly could have clinical depression. Sadly the first one, theres nothing you can do about, its part of life and it sucks, you will find other ways of happiness like traveling, working, having kids, finding religion, meditation, etc. If you think it might be clinical depression then you must go to a psychiatrist or psychologist/counselor.
