Dreams which affect you emotionally?

Alright so basically, I've had dreams in the past about relatives, friends, or just random people wherein they do something which completely pisses me of, causing me to wake up angry and remain angry for a while.

A few nights back I had a dream about my father admitting to me and my mother that he had slept with this lady we met in this store, and I was SO angry.

And, BAM. I woke up, and the anger was still there. And with angry, I mean screwdriver stabbing-hairpulling-bitchslapping-angry.

Ofcourse, the anger calmed down and now I remain fully peaceful, no anger whatsoever. But the confusion still remains.

So basically, is it normal to have dreams which emotionally effect you in such a strong way that it practically made you feel like you've actually experienced it in real life?

  • That happens to me all the time! I'll be angry at someone for no reason until I realise it's because of what they did in one of my dreams xD Oops...

I woke up at like 5am this morning, instantly really worried about my girlfriend for some unknown reason & messaged her asking if she was OK while I was still basically asleep, before logic had kicked in & told me it was just a dream.
I don't remember what the dream was about but it was bad enough to have me quite worried.

Same sort of thing has actually happened twice now with her...

Anyway I fell back asleep once I knew all was OK & must have had a good dream the second time as I woke up super fucking happy which is unusual for me

Dreams are actually a message from your higher self. This could mean different things, actually. It could represent some kind of unresolved anger you have towards him and it's playing out in the dream. Or it could mean that he did have an affair, or it could possibly mean something else. Especially with reoccurring dreams, there is definitely a message there. However, if you have kinds of dreams that just invoke fury, it makes me wonder where that is coming from. Perhaps you've had some trauma in your life? is this is a pattern? You can ask yourself before you go to bed to understand what this means. Just like you tell yourself before you go to bed that you need to be up at a certain time and you do wake up. Just tell yourself you want to figure this thing out Think about what you want to know and your curiosity of what you want to know. If it doesn't work at first keep trying it.

I've let dreams affect the way I feel around people but just always remember it's literally just a dream, the imagination, there's a huge difference between reality and imagination
