Soo...My highschool ex and I broke up almost 8 years ago, and he is the ONLY guy I dream about..I've had several relationships since. With my current of 3years. So why the hell are all my dreams about him, and I enjoy them?
Can I make these go away? I feel so guilty, i've never told my boyfriend about it...Is this normal?
hm, i don't think it's normal you have dreams only about him, and regulary from the sound of it.
I can't offer you any help...except assuring you that it's normal to wonder what became of past partners, phantasize about them or enjoy memories one made. Those are experiences that formed you, and it's human nature to wonder "what if" things...and that includes "what if's" with past partners...and does not mean you love your partner any less or that you would have preferred any other option.
As for making them go away? I have no idea. Maybe stalk that ex a bit online, find out who he is now...if you find that he became a totally different person from whom he was back then, you may be able to close that chapter? Of course you could also find that somehow, you still have feelings for that person *shrug* I honestly don't know if thats the best course of action but i have no better idea-
Your subconscious is still thinking about him a lot probably, and you only realise it in your sleep? Do you have any feelings left for this person? Maybe it will clear your mind just to call him up and see how his life is, maybe you'll be able to rest if he tells you about his new gf and you can get back to your relationship too. It's ok, I've had at least 3 dreams where I was dorothy from the wizard of OZ and I have no feelings for her lmao
I think its normal, cause I dream about some guy I was friends with forever ago
