Dreams = wake up
I go to sleep very late, about 1am and get up at 5am but if I don't dream during the night I'm really lazy in the morning and go back to sleep and if I do dream I get straight out of bed and don't need to sleep again after that.

I think this may be because (and I'm not certain) when u dream your in REM sleep which is the most restfull phase of sleeping. Therefore if you have no dream you probably didn't get any REM and feel sluggish.
It's probably just the sleep pattern you've set for youself. you need more sleep, lack of sleep is really bad (not like I can talk) but I do want to change my sleeping habits. You can change it if you want
I'm the opposite. If I'm dreaming when I have to wake up, I always want to go back to sleep to finish the dream. However, if I manage to wake up when I'm not dreaming, I can get up almost instantly.
