I often have dreams about my brother in law being in love with me and they really drive me crazy. I love my husband and would never cheat on him, but I can't stop dreaming about his brother coming on to me! Sometimes I even wake up feeling disappointed that it was a dream which makes me crazy because I don't want anything like that to actually happen! Is this normal? Does anyone else have this (or a similar) problem? How can I make it stop?

    You can't control what you dream about. As long as you don't mess around with your hubby's brother, it's ok. But I don't think there's any way to make the dreams go away. They'll probably go away on their own.

    I have had erotic dreams about my wife's cousin for 40 years. They have never gone away. In real life my cousin-in-law is a creep. But, in my dreams she becomes a sex goddess.

    Searching for an answer with the exact situation I came across this page and found this, reading the comments I notice this was over two yrs ago, were you able to stop dreaming about it?

      The dreams did eventually stop on their own. I think it was just a phase that I was going through. At the time his brother had qualities that I admired (his ability to let things go and not get angry about anything) and wished my husband had because at the time we were going through severe money problems and I was really struggling to find a job so I was feeling really guilty.

    It doesn't have to mean that you like him or anything like that. It could be that you are feeling guilty about something and this dream makes you feel even more guilty. Dreams are tricky, but don't worry, it doesn't mean you don't love your husband.
    I don't think this is something you need to talk to anyone about, it's something that will go away. I've had weird dreams too, and when I found out why I rally had them I stopped having them. Dreams come from the conscious, that's why they are about our feelings and are very abstract.

    Yes this is totally normal!!! I agree with Ang about this...sit them down and discuss the situation. Maybe your brother in law would be down with having a 3some with you and your husband. Maybe your sister would tape it and send me a copy too please!!! Oh....if he isn't down to having a 3some with you....ask his dad...that would be so hot =)

    You should sit down and discuss these feelings and dream with both your husband and brother in law. It's the only way to make them go away.
