Dream interpretation, help me out?

This is a dream I had. Perhaps there's some paranormal activity aficionados, or dream interpreters, either way I need feedback on it. Thanks to whoever answers, I appreciate it.

I'm asleep in bed, until I feel a bump. My eyes roll open, and I lay there for a sec, my brain trying to figure out why it's awake again. I feel the bump again, this time harder. It coming from my aide of the bed.

I sit up and look down and to the side. My two year old daughter is standing there. She's wide awake, just standing there and smiling at me. I say, "Hi honey. Why are you out of bed?"

She just smiles up at me. Then she suddenly violently jerks forward and bumps into the side of the bed. I look down at her, kind of fascinated. Is she sleepwalking? "What are you doing awake, babydoll?" I ask. "Come on, let's go back to your room."

As I start to pull the blankets off my lower body, she JERKS forward into the bed again. It looks almost as if she's having some type of seizure or something. I am now very alarmed. As I look again toward her, our of the very corner of my eye I see a reflection on the glass door of my wife's dresser.

Something is in the front room.

I look again to my daughter, and she smiles sweetly at me. The fear disappears, because now my house is under attack. I rip off the blankets and jump out of bed. I storm down the hallway like a bull. Whatever this thing is, it's gonna die for violating my territory.

As I reach the end of the hallway, this thing steps in front of me. All the anger and defensive thoughts melt away as in confronted by a 6'+ thing. It's dark grey, with rough, leathery looking skin. It's eyes look like they're carved out of stone. It regards me with a total lack of emotion, something is very very bad here.

The rage returns. Motherfucker, up don't mess with my family, not here, not in a galaxy far far away. I start stalking toward it again.

The thing times me perfectly, and I see it's hands coming up. I see a small, nondescript black box in it's hands. The thing never takes it's eyes off me, but slowly raises this box. It pushes a button.

I stop in my tracks, turn slightly, and JERK into the wall.

What's it mean? Feedback? Lemme know what you guys think.

Like alot of people have said it could be due to a change in something, i.e. you have a new job or something. I don't know anything about Dream interpretation bu i find the whole subject very fascinating, i would say that you are worried about you and possibly your family being controlled by something/someone. There are some people that beleive dream's can somehow foreshadow the future. Maybe someone will break into your house?, maybe your daughter will suffer from a seizure. Who know's.

I'm intrigued about the black box. There was a post a while ago about an evil black machine in a dream. I wonder if this could be the same symbolism, but couldn't find this in an online dream dictionary. Interesting.

You may be worried over something completely different but it's manifesting itself as your very worst nightmare. You obviously adore your young daughter so she's your weakness.

There could be so many interpretations and it makes me laugh to think you may be simply concerned about her future boyfriend (ugly monster) and how you'll want to kill him if he upsets her. But maybe by then you'll be old and weaker than him. If he raises that box to produce an engagement ring you'd rather you were all nuked first ;o)

If you'd like a religious view you could read 23 Minutes in Hell which describes monsters like these torturing people in hell.

Off the tip of my head, I'd say it could mean you're scared of something horrible taking control of your family. Like maybe a new job in your future could lead to a lot of changes in your household that you're not quite ready for. But dreams don't always have a meaning behind them. Sometimes they can have an insight into a persons state of mind. But not always...
