Dream i had at age 9 and now recently

So I dreamed a dream when I was around the age of 9. I was walking down into the basement of my childhood church and when I walked into the broiler room (our church was old and unfinished w/ concrete walls)there was this huge gaping hole. Like a black hole. There wasn't anything in it but I knew, somehow, that it was hell (not literally) but hell in the sense of monsters and demons so on so forth.

I dreamed it again recently but it changed slightly. This time I had this team of people with me and we went down there to investigate. We were all standing in this walk way which had a classroom at either end. This dinosaur type monster ran out of the dark room on one end and grabbed on of the people in the walk way and disapeared on the other side. My team and I went to start up the hole portal thing and I freaked out at the last minute and tried to run up the stairs out of the building. It was too late we were trapped and everyone died but me. I got out and kept taking dif. teams back and everyone always died but me. When I was trying to figure out why they wouldn't kill me I had a random realization in the dream that it was because I was pregnant. But I hadn't done anything with anyone.

It's probably nothing and i'm sure I can pull out a few life situations that can contribute but I would like to hear your interpretations.

    dude, it's just a wierd dream. i've had extentions off dreams i've had years ago. i think that there are only a very small amount of dreams that really mean something. the rest is just pointless entertainment. hell, i'm not searching for a reason why i havn't had a nightmare in about 3 years. i'm not looking for a psychiatrist. just enjoy it. unless the dream repeats itself every night, in which case i'd be freaked OUT

    I wonder if this happens to many people. I would LIKE to think that your dream means something but I think I'd have to know you to even begin to interpret it. Hell, I have a dreaming sequence just like this and cannot interpret it myself.
    When I was younger I had the same dream several times: I was walking around with a white being in a huge, multi-roomed, shockingly white cathedral with insanely colorful stained glass windows.
    Years went by then I had the dream one last time in high school. It was completely the same except this time I had to walk up a long set of spiral, wooden staircases first. Everything was dark and close quartered. There were seemingly despondent, dirty people dressed in old, Victorian clothing sitting at tables set up in corners. They were either being distracted by the various things they were doing or giving me weird and depressed looks. I believe I was still following or being led by someone up these stairs. It was at the top that I finally entered through a heavy door into my peaceful, white cathedral.

    Remember that while dreams do have a cause, that does not mean they have a meaning. They don't. Don't confuse the two, and remember to use your reasoning skills and knowledge.
    Many of us find certain parts of a church creepy. Many of us find furnaces creepy. It's like having a nightmare about your basement because you thought it was creepy when you were young. Maybe you were once told a creepy story about the furnace or something? No biggie.

    I would interpret it in this manner. You and the team that you lead them to Hell are from the same faith (i.e religion), but it's not the Truth. Those people that have gone inside the "portal" hell are died on the false belief. However you are still alive and you still have a chance to find the Truth. That's why you didn't die with them.

    As for religion think about these things; How can God have a son? It's wrong to make a person (prophet) a God or Son of God. Jesus never talked about Trinity, it was invented by St.Paul. The bright light that Paul saw on his journey was actually Devil, he was misled. You won't find a single word where Jesus says in the bible "I am God" or "Worship Me" never! It's always some kind of obscure thing like "me and my Father same"...etc. Those words do not contradict with Jesus being prophet.

    Consider Islam, in Islam there is Only ONE GOD. Jesus just like Abraham was a prophet of God. Last prophet was Muhammad peace be upon him. Quran has never changed for the last 1400 years unlike Bible.

      actually, my friend, I'm afraid the bible does quote Jesus actually saying to his friends that he was the son of god.

      Also, the angel told mary that he would be god's only son, who was and is him.

      What's more, he did not say in public 'I am God!' to prolong two things that happened to him; the cries of Blasphemy from the Jewish authorities when it was leaked who he was (and the repercussions of that), and his public mobbing, like the time he was in a house and the paralysed man could not enter.

      Finally, Hebrew was a very metaphorical language: rarely would people state the blatant truth. It was much more common to use metaphor, and this is what Jesus said.

      I hope you discover the Truth, although I do not wish to insult you, I wish to insult the Lord even less, and will try to pass his word on as much as I can.
