Downward spiral

I've been in a college for a year now and have failed all my classes. I cannot register for this next year because of my horrible gpa. My parents are fed up with me and now I am planning on moving to Europe as my last resort. Is this a normal option?

Lots of freshman have that happen to them. Just request being able to try again for one more year. They might let you. If they don't let you start over, reapply at another college, preferably a technical school if books aren't your thing. There's no shame in applying to a technical or vocational school. Don't let idiots tell you otherwise.

I you are dealing with impaired brain functions you might what to 1. Get a brain scan. Its always better to be safe than sorry. 2. Eat more Omega-3 and DHA 3. Eat certain types of Algae. 4. Get more sleep. 5. Go to a sleep a centre, etc.

I think going to college in Europe would be a better idea, that is if you can afford it. There are quite a few European countries that have free education systems as well as healthcare. I've been to Europe and a lot of the lifestyles seem to be very relaxing.

But really, if you are financially able to go to Europe, do it. Chill, meet people, have some crazy experiences, sort your head out, find what interests you, put your life into perspective, then go back to university in a couple of years and take some different courses and just enjoy the process. You really can't get anywhere in life without higher education.

I almost failed chemistry my first year of university and had a plan to escape to Europe if I did. So, yes, normal.... And amusing.

Consider going to a junior college/ community college to learn practical skills. Increase your worth in other ways than just school, or follow up on productive hobbies (maybe you like web design or you are artsy). Just remember that the hs>college> desk job path is one option out of many more. You can find a way if you are tenacious enough. But as the above commentor said, Europe is not a great choice. For one, living costs are high. Pick a country that has lower living expenses if you are set on starting anew

Happened to me my first year, and i was on the football team, so I lost it all!!!

you're very young and you probably tend to do dumb things, no offense!!!!!Pick yourself up and focus, school is not for everyone.. But if you plan on getting a good job school is where you need to be..Ok you say you're going to europe, but thats alot easier said than done my friend..How will you provide for yourself, buy all the simple needs like soap, toothpaste, rent ect

School also provides life experiences that you can always cherish!!!
