Door-knocks in an apartment complex, iin?

Is it normal to get door-knocks in a apartment complex community?

I have lived here for nearly 4 months and just about 30 minutes ago (3am in the morning) someone wouldn't stop knocking for about 5 minutes straight. I do not know any guys around here and don't have any friends except co-workers and they don't know where I live. I didn't answer because I was trying sleep. He came a second time then, I looked and didn't know who he was only seen the back of him.

The same thing happened about a month ago, I didn't know the guy and it was 10pm at night, but it was someone different.

I of course didn't answer. I was try to rest.

Hm, never thought it that way. That could be true. I do work with one of the ladies who lives out here and she knew the lady who lived in this apartment before me. I'm planning on asking her about the tenant before me.

That's not cool. The only time I got a knock late at night was when my water heater was leaking into the apartment below :/ not my fault man.

Orrr the delicious smell of baked goods is permeating throughout the complex and they want your cookies...or buns!!! Eeek! They think you're a tart!! Asalt them with pepper spray!

Yes, that is my thoughts too. Though I find it strange that it's only my door, I would think I would hear my neighbors doors getting knocked at too.

I am thinking of putting a sign up saying: "Don't knock at this door past 9:30pm and I do not know anyone who lives here in this apartment complex community. -THANK YOU!" I think it would be a nice attempt if it happens again.

Yeah, that is definitely strange. Is your door anymore different than the other doors? lol.

I think that sign might be a good idea and it's worth a shot.

Is your fucking mundane life that miserable that you have to come on here (5 fucking mins after the event) at stupid o clock in the morning to talk about a door fuckin knocker..

You need to get out more mate.
Get a grip of yourself and pull yourself together. Its a big world out there, now go and do something fucking useful..

Yes, I do agree, it's a big world out there. Life is wonderful and glad to live it with all the interesting people that exist. :D

I like hearing other peoples stories and opinions also.

      Thank you!

  • Might be kids or even drunk or immature adults playing ding dong ditch. The part that seems it could be some other reason is that they do it for long periods of time. With ding dong ditch you are supposed to ditch after you ding. At 3am there is no good reason to bother somebody unless you are pranking them so you should be armed if you open the door.

      I've got my pepper spray.

I would most likely ask questions through the door before opening it.
