Dolls sexualizing young girls: yes or no?

I like to collect dolls, children's and adult, and recently I've gotten into monster high dolls. I decided to do some research on the dolls, and I came across an article in which they believe that the dolls are bad for children due to the werewolf doll "plucking and shaving her leg hair" (as put in her bio) and accusations of sexualizing the character(s). Here is the article:

What is your opinion on this. Do you agree with this article or do you think that it is ridiculous? What is your reasoning?

I think the article is right and dolls are oversexualized 18
I think the article is ridiculous and these people need to relax 28

You really don't have to be looking, at a quick glance you can tell its sexualized, and it's representing a girl who is still in school, oversexualized

I don't think there's anything wrong with exposing kids to sexualised images - if the context is right. A lot of people will probably think that's wrong, but I think that sex is a part of life and there's no reason to pretend it doesn't exist. Teaching kids about sex properly inevitably requires using sexual images, and I think we shouldn't shy away from that.

I don't think there's anything wrong with these dolls having skimpy clothing either, although there should be a balance and an equal exposure to young people of dolls who don't wear skimpy clothing. We shouldn't be stigmatising people over the clothing choices they make, whether these clothes are revealing or not.

What I do think is wrong is the way these dolls "are training girls to feel ashamed of their bodies". I think that's definitely a consequence of that kind of imagery, and I think it's definitely damaging. I think kids should be exposed to realistic images in men and women, and taught that realism is beautiful. Even if you leave on the make-up and crazy hair, there is no way that doll shows a realistic female body. I think this is more or a problem in girl dolls, but it does exist in boy dolls too.

I think dolls like these should not be marketed to kids. If I had young children, I'd only expose them to that sort of doll in conjunction with dolls that looked completely different.

I like the show Monster High, but I would never let my little sister watch it or collect the dolls.

I'm not sure why I like the show actually, I guess I miss cartoons. However, I don't want her to think that she has to be a certain way or look a certain way to be accepted. She is eight years old and I have already noticed her being unhappy with her body. It's mostly about how skinny the characters are, it's very unrealistic, and it's especially damaging to children. It's fine if a person is very skinny naturally, and if one or a few characters were like that it would be fine, but it's not ok for it to be the only body type represented in the media.

I dont think stuff like barbie are sexualizing kids. They have lots of toys teaching kids what to do when they grow up. Though I doubt most people can live up to the barbie image.

She clearly rich and was probably raised somewhere with a lot of money like Beverly hill and got a rich ken boyfriend. Who also comes from a lot of money and look and behold they have the rich spoiled shits that beat up the kids who don't wear name brand clothes like myself.

I think its a sneaky way of trying to teach kids responsibility and life skills before they grow up. Like the dolls that poop and pee that you have to change. That or the little kitchen sets and easy bake oven. Teaching little girls to be mommy's and a building set for boys. Teaching little boys to be carpenters and get a manly job. Its sexist but I don't think it has anything to do with intercourse or looking provocative.

Also there is many type of dolls and puppets. They have Chinese porcelain dolls and those are not sexual at all. In fact they look like a geisha would. So not all dolls are like what barbie. They also have raggedy Ann dolls.
