Not really. I have a degree in anthropology and work in green transportation. It kind of fits, but not really. If i were to get a masters i would do so for a specific job, but undergrad work really doesn't matter much.

    • that's what I'm thinking of majoring in and a place I debated going, would you recommend that major? I want to major in fashion business or event management, which would you recommend?

Yeah definitely, although I have a year or so left its interesting and a great industry to enter. Of course I would recommend event management but thats bcos its what I can see myself as.

Ive learnt alot in other sectors such as marketing, profess communication etc. as part of it. Do what you feel you have a greater passion for, either way im sure no doubt you'll be awesome at both career options :)

While Im still in college, the type of degree you get depends on the type of career you want. In my opinion, the more intense of a career you choose the more serious people take your degree when it comes to applying for that job you want.

I planned to go to college but didn't because of severe anxiety and panic disorder. I later did cosmetology but I have allergies to a lot of the products(perms color etc). I still cute peoples hair and do styles for proms and weddings.
I work in a specialty chocolate shop, it doesn't pay well but I enjoy it most of the time. I wish Id done something with better hours and pay, I wanted to be a writer or a journalist but years and years of anxiety problems kind of held me back.
At least I don't have a college loan.

Associates in Psychology, going for my BA. Working as a paraeducator to move into teaching when I get credentialed. I work with the special needs and my knowledge helps. I picked my desired job before I picked my major though, then I got the degree necessary to qualify. Doesn't pay much but it's a step up from just working a job to pay for college.

A masters is a prerequisite to my career. I majored in psychology, which is useless unless you go to graduate school. Despite work politics, which are everywhere, I have a good job! I feel lucky.
