My bellybutton hurts and itches and it wasn't until recently I asked a friend if it was normal. He said no but I wanted to make sure. Am I strange?
It's normal. Do you have an outie? If you do, that means something is wrong with your vain for your bellybutton. That's what causes the pain. You can get surgery to get your outie fixed.
My bellybutton itches sometimes. It's all red. I agree with the person above. It may be some sort of infection. I use a q-tip to clean it out good.
You might have a fungal thing like athlete's foot in your belly button. Try Lotrimin creme and see if it stops the itch/pain, and be sure to dry it well when you get out of the shower. Those funguses thrive in warm, moist places.
