Does you associate hoodies with thugs?

I associate them with keeping warm.

Nope. I think literally every person I know under 30 (and many older) owns a hoodie - boys and girls - and even at a stretch very few of them could be called thugs by anyone. Hoodies have been appropriated as part of mainstream fashion now. The negative stereotype might have existed five years ago, but I don't think it's as common to think that way now.

Most people in the town I live in wear hoodies. I also wear them in the Fall weather, so nope.

I don't think of them as thugs but I definitely don't feel comfortable around the ones that keep the hood up. It certainly gives me a moment for pause. I think are they hiding behind the hoodie, have they done something wrong, or are they about to start something? I am leery and cautious around them, like "WTF" is he/she up to. They freak me out especially the ones that have the hood on in the day time when it is hot!

People should be aware of how it puts others on guard and makes them suspicious of you. But if you like it, I love it. But if you make a sudden move you might get knocked out for no reason.

Not necessarily, though i've met a lot of these ''wannabe gansta'' types whom i've rarely seen not wearing one.
Although it's usually their behaviour that gives away their true nature.

I'm no where like a thug, and people rarely see me without my Nike hoodie. I remember when I was in middle school, I used to wear hoodies everyday so the only people who ever saw my arms were people who knew me before sixth grade and who went on special school trips, like Beta club.

I'm pretty young, and I wear hoodies a lot, but I'm no where near being a thug.

On my first day of uni they gave me a hoody, when I put it on they kicked me out for being a thug #thuglife #truestorydat

I don't think of thugs but I always think of guys like bleeker from juno who wear them.
