Does winter make anybody else more sad and gloomy?

For some reason Winter always seems to screw with my emotions. I always feel down on myself and try to do what ever makes me feel better.

But whenever Spring comes I'm always more confident and happy. I just love sun light. Maybe I should move to another state that has a warmer, sunnier climate.

Hey thanks, I didn't know that existed. But I do believe I do have it, after I looked at info about it. Just more to add to my list of problems. ha

Ingest massive dosages of vitamin D. Your winter depression problem should then be solved :)

Same with me!! Everyone gets annoyed with me too,.. Because all I want to do is sit around and I just feel so slow and half asleep/sad. As soon as it gets warm again I am my happy self :) I need to live somewhere warmer. Lets go together :D

Your SAD. Haha get it.. I know lame joke. One of the ways to get over it is buy a whole bunch of natural lights and keep exercising.

I love winter, it's my favorite season. Where I live has pretty mild winters compared to many other places though.

Happens to me too. And gray days or rainy days make me feel much less active and a little sleepy.

No, it makes me feel as if I'm in a white fairytale where angels cry cold tears that fall through your steamy breath and fly into your eyes.
Winter smells like hot chocolate and feels fuzzy, like a warm cat you pet while listening to the wood crackle in the fireplace.
However, snow storms are by far the best. The snow piles up so much that it looks like a white canvas that you could paint over and over, you could always start over if you mess up and the white makes everyone seem like they're saints; even the trees are dressed for a wedding.
Even if it's raining, or there are muddy puddles on the streets, once the snowflakes fall, they dress up everything in white. The air is filled with the smell of warm cookies you eat in the morning, the smell of pine and Christmas carols full of the sound of silver bells and shimmering stars that sway on the Christmas tree.
Winter feels smooth to the touch, like the engraved colored wrapping paper that wraps around piles of gifts; and soft, like a warm sweater you wear on a cold winter day. That's what winter means to me.

I truely use to love Winter when I was a little kid. Always enjoyed playing in the snow. Maybe this depression will go away through time, sure hope so!

Yeah I like that too, but it's normally a month after Winter had started is when I get depressed. I love it around Christmas when I see my family but it normally hits me around January till Spring comes.
