wrong!!! did u forget probability already from grade 2 math? if somethiong doesnt happen for a while it doesn not increase the odds of it happening. if u get 10 tails pennies in a row ur odds to get heads does not increase for the next throw.
im yet to see an ounce of actual evidence that this will happen. why do we give the myans credit they sucked. and jesus i swear ive heard about doesans of other doomsdays that never hapened.
evidence? first off, there's going to be several galactic alignments. earth, jupiter, galactic core, etc. are going to perfectly line up, highly likely to cause whats known as a "pole shift" in wich the magnetic fields will be disrupted enough to interact with eachother only resulting in them repeling each other to opisit sides of the earth. this is scientific FACT. no chance involved, these solar and planitary allignments will happen. will the poles shift? PROBABLY, but not definately. it's likely though. this is bad why? because, the forse of this shift could also move the planet. it could change it's axis, and even be taken out of orbit. if that happens, the planet will die from thicker or not thick enough atmospheres, the poles could melt, the world could heat up, etc.
the mayan are only involved because of this:
they aren't savage, rather an extremely INTELLECTUALLY ADVANCED CIVILISATION. they had a very great understanding of astronamy and could predict the movements and position of the viewable universe thousands of years in the future, something we can also do easily today. the big deal is, all the predictions of how the universe will look have been correct and accurate. they had predicted 2,012 years worth of universal activity. but the calendar was finished there. but it was in fact a FINISHED calendar, for it was circular. the most likely reason they stopped there was because their interpretation was that this allignment was a sign from thier gods.
thats the whole story, so please stop talking about the mayan. they aren't really involved.

Horoscope writers may be excited by alignments, But "the reality is that alignments are of no interest to science. They mean nothing, They create no changes in gravitational pull, solar radiation, planetary orbits, or anything else that would impact life on Earth. Truth of the matter is this so called event is a tool used to sell books from authors looking to make a buck. I'm curious what field of "science" did you waste of year studying ?

Ok, I cannot really answer this with the choices about so I thought I'd just write what I thought. Honestly, I'm scared. But I don't think we're ALL going to die. I think its just gonna be one of those doomsday things that kills off most of the world's population and leaves few people to re-populate the world.. But then again, at the same time, myself I don't even believe that. You know what, fuck that.. I say Zombie Apocalypse. Lol

The year scares me not for the whole prophecy about the end of the world and what not but because it is not gonna be a good year for me.Not that the ones who went by have been such a paradise but 2012 is gonna be particularly suckie.Not just for me,for a lot of people all over the world who share,well,stuff I don't wanna talk about.You wouldn't understand anyway.

2012, the year the Mayan Calender resets, honestly there probably will be some horrible event somewhere, but it will not be Earth-shattering, the calender is a wheel in every respect and will, simply, just continue as it has been. Probably will be some interesting news tho, certainly!

Hahaha! This remind's me of this one Wife Swap episode I saw. This one family was freaked out about 2012, because they think that's when the end of the world is gonna come. Haha! Makes me chuckle a little everytime! They were, "planning for survival.". Bahahahah! I don't believe that end of the world crap for a second!
I don't think anythings gonna happen, but it is weird how the Chinese and Mayans predicted the same day of the same year. And it would suck if the world blew up.
