Does the world really care that i have a white girlfriend?
Hello, My name is not important or significant in this matter. Furthermore my name is not listed in my profile, for reasons that I will explain. I attend the university of Michigan and play football here as well, and there is an issue that I can’t seem to solve or answer for the life of me. I am only seeking advice, so if anyone has anything negative or weird to say I’d appreciate it if you didn't leave a comment. I am currently dating a girl who is Jewish, she's gorgeous; she has a perfect personality and is a wonderful person in my opinion. She even goes to the same college as me, which is wonderful. I am madly in love with her and she will be my wife one day. I have never cheated on her, and I don’t even look at other girls, and she is the same. I am an African American male, not just black, but Irish, Indian and Russian as well. People often tell me I look Arabic or Indian or something. Regardless I am still black. Her parents love me as a person and they have no problem with me being black. We are happy together and I’ve been dating her since I was a sophomore in high school. I believe I am inelegant, and decent looking, I speak intelligently and carry myself well. People never usually judge me from what I can tell, or wonder why I have a white girlfriend. But I think that people out there see this as strange. I think people are sometimes jealous or they are quick to judge me simply because I’m dating a white woman. Black women give me Sneed looks, and I feel this is taboo and weird. Maybe I’m overreacting but does the world/people really care that I have a white girlfriend? does it matter in the grand scheme of things, as long as were happy in the end right?
