Does revenge sex normally help

I cheated on my wife and she slept with one of my friends as payback. He knew why she slept with him and he said that if it would ruin are friendship then he wouldn't do it but I told him it wouldn't and after a couple drinks they both started whispering to each other then she went inside and a couple minutes later he went in too. There were a few other people there so I couldn't just leave them outside. They had no idea what was going on but it didn't matter because I had video taped it. I watched her waiting for him then he walked in and had sex with my wife in my bed. We still talk and he comes over for parties and I can't help but wonder if he might try to sleep with her again. Has anyone else ever gone through this?
