Does my sperm donor have a fetish?

After not being able to get pregnant after my husband's vasectomy reversal, we decided that we would go the route of using a sperm donor to try to get pregnant. We chose strictly artificial insemination, NO outside intercourse under any circumstances. We found a local donor who was gay. After several email exchanges, we met at my home, signed documentation to protect anonymity, and exchanged money for a live sperm sample. After receiving the fresh sample, the donor would leave our home and my husband and I would follow protocol for at home artificial insemination. In order to communicate the days that I would need the fresh sample or to confirm a pregnancy, the donor and I agreed to communicate via email. Shortly after the first month (after receiving three samples over three days), the donor became abnormally interested in the outcome of the samples. He wanted to know how "well" I thought they would work, if there were changes in my temp, if I had pregnancy symptoms, etc... The following month was the same thing and I suggested he was becoming too emotionally invested after he kept saying how happy he was to have "found someone to have a baby with". By the third month, I was apprehensive after his continuous emails, personal inquiries, etc... I advised the donor that I would not be using his samples moving further and that I wished to end our working relationship. He was quite offended that I would even suggest that he had a perversion or fetish, but after he admitted that he becomes sexually aroused at the thought of impregnating a woman and at the thought that a woman would use "his" sperm to procreate, I was grossly disgusted. Is this normal?? Is it normal for a gay man to get aroused at the thought of impregnating a woman? Is it normal for a gay man to want to "procreate" with a woman and want to inquire about personal details such as her menstrual cycle, etc... Needless to say, all communication has ceased and I don't plan on any future communication with this man.
