Does he like me/why do i like him?

I know a LOT of people ask this question, but I'm honestly conflicted.

Okay so I went to this summer camp for the first week of summer at the private school I'm going to next year. The camp was a musical one, and was only for the students/future students attending the school. So I went and met this guy who is probobly exactly like me, or as close as a guy can get.

We instantly had so much in common. That camp was only a week long and is now over....

I only really knew him personally for 5 days (i'll see more of him when the school year starts), and I like him. We would occasionally exchange glances, and when he saw mw staring or looking at him from a far, he would look in my eyes for about 5 full length seconds, which seemed like a long time. Also, when ever I compliment him, he blushes and never looks me in the eye, but more at the ground. And when he figured out that were not in the same grade (hes going into 9th while I'm going into 8th), he seemed slightly dissapointed.

When I hand him something, we always touch hands somehow even if it seems unnatural. Also, once, for a while when we were talking, his foot moved over to touch mine, and it stayed there for a while.

We have had many conversations on quantum physics, black holes, worm holes, (etc.). We're both into to physics and science theory. I always say that he's entertaining to talk to and whenever I do he blushes and has an awkward laugh. Sometimes he'll say thanks.

But i've only known him for 5 days personally (when it's been about a week since the camp). Why do I like him so much that I feel compelled to ask this question on an internet advice website? So I guess this is really two questions. Does he like me, and why do I like him? It's not that he's not a nice person, he is and has a lot in common with me. But why have I fallen for him in such a short period of time?

    I think he likes you probably bacause he finds you attractive. He also probably wants to F**k you. You probably like him because he likes you.

    You have mostly answered your own questions (have a lot in common, spent 5 days at camp, mutual attraction) and perhaps now are beginning to over-think this: maybe because you are a bit overwhelmed with your feelings.

    How you are feeling is very sweet and normal. You have a serious crush, and so does he most likely. You can follow up with him, (he is shy & unlikely to) or leave it alone.

    It seems to me that he is a shy guy. This is entirely possible to like someone in such a short amount of time. You should start spending a little more time with him before you do anything major. Not anything that might scare him off though (e.g. go bowling, or to a movie).

    It's a good idea for YOU to make the first move, because shy guys usually can't bring themselves to do it.

    Good luck, shy guys are the best for most women. ;)
