I HATE IT. The biggest pet peeve I have is the use of the word 'your'. Most people fuck up words like that on a consistent basis, which is kind of alarming!

Only if it's so bad that I can't understand what they're saying. I make mistakes all the time and I'd hate to be jumped on just because of a mistake, when people know full well what I meant.

I mean people who claim to be legal adults, especially when they claim to have kids... and they're talking like they're still in high school.
As for living in the Renaissance.... Well technically you wouldn't actually have a computer. Although your spelling may be a bit unusual compared to modern conventions. ;-)

Usage of bad grammar to me is an indication of ignorance, not convenience. Typing does not take any time or effort, so please, just type things out correctly (excluding acronyms)!

There is a lot of irony from "The Gods" when we criticize others for misspellings. You know... "You are so 'dum'."
That sort of thing..
I agree with dappled that I don't usually call attention to other people's misspellings and poor sentence structure unless I cannot understand what they are trying to say or, they are trying to lambast me for something similar.

I find it annoying if say I made a typo like I forgot to add and e to the world like. People who point out little things like that, it pisses me off! I'm not the best speller in the world and I don't come on the internet for a grammar lesson. But I HATE when people type on purpose in texting 'omg lyk thts kool'! It annoys me when you know how to spell the words and you just do it because of laziness.

As for bad spelling and grammar, ohhhhh it pisses me off to no end. Yeah, sometimes I make mistakes if I'm using my phone and I accidentally hit the wrong button. However, I always correct myself when I realize what I have done. A few little errors in spelling by accident, I don't mind. However, what gets my goat (or..what Grinds My Gears, if you will) is the mis-use of "your" when people mean "you're". Or what REALLY disgusts me is when people say "cum" to mean "come" (in the REGULAR, NOT DIRTY sense of the word). I feel the need to bathe after reading someone who spells "come" in the sexual way when they don't mean it sexually...

Poor grammar and spelling bother me so much. When a person reads something that is grammatically incorrect, that something is liable to leave some imprint in that person's memory. If a person hear incorrect grammar and reads faulty spelling frequently, it becomes difficult to differentiate between what is correct and what is common. I've been blessed with fantastic English teachers, but I have friends in college who unfortunately struggle with their writing to this day as a direct result of overexposure to the colloquialisms of popular culture.
