Does anyone water down their whiskey?

I like drinking my whiskey with ice, but I only like it once the ice has melted enough to make it more comfortable and drinkable. But lately ive just been lazy and went to the sink and added 50% water. Does anyone else do this?

    I like to whiskey down my whiskey. It doesn't change the proof but that way I have more whiskey.

    I do put ice in my whiskey, but it's mainly to lower it's temperature a bit. I don't mind room temperature whiskey, but I prefer it when it's cooled. I try to finish my whiskey before the ice melts, as too much water spoils the aroma.

    Chivas Regal put in a lot of effort to give their whiskey a deep and rich flavor and ruining that with water is just wrong.

      I feel like the water just brings out the flavor more. I dont like it so strong but wuen I water it down it tastes really nice. You should try it with a small batch.
