Does anyone else sense a lack of maturity on this site?

Sometimes it feels that the is it normal community is filled who lag behind in terms of maturity. Often, the comments and others either feel like what my 13-year old self would have written, and at that age I was more immature than most students in my class. I've seen middle aged adults and even seniors acting like stereotypical middle schoolers. I'm not just talking about people being silly for the sake of entertainment and lulz, but genuine childish behaviour when dealing with serious issues. Does anyone else sense a lack of maturity in the is it normal community?

    Why did it take you so long to finger this out? My first day here, I saw *powerfart* as a comment on like five posts, and that comment was made by someone who's hovering around 40 years of age.

    No moderation= a pack of rabid tards. Thankfully there's boss users that make the site worthwhile.

    Well, anyone can join the site, it's a place where people often seek guidance regarding their darkest secrets and most topics are fairly serious in nature, and always remember the name of the site... "Is It Normal?" ... You're going to get a pretty broad swathe of internet people. So we see the entire spectrum of types of people present here, which believe it or not helps with the fundamental question, Is It Normal? -- If you don't want to listen to what the idiots and teenagers have to say, then don't. But when it comes to those Yes and No boxes at the top of the screen, they're usually pretty accurate about how common something is, given the medium we're working with here. Hope this helps!
