Does anyone else experience this while falling asleep?

Somtime when i'm falling asleep i fall into a state somwhere inbetween being awake and asleep almost. Somtimes i see people or things in my room.. somtimes i hear things. it normally only happens when i'm on my own in my own bed.. but occasionally has happend while sleeping with somone or being in another bed. Its a state where i can almost control my thoughts but i can't get myself out of and can't stop.. it feels like i'm in pain, more mental pain than physical. somtimes i never hear, think or see anything.. but i'm floating.. or falling. this has been happening for a year or two now, theres never a pattern to when or how often it happens.. somtimes most nights in a week somtimes not atal. it scares the shit out of me and i have to physically forse myself to wakeup before i can sleep properly. does anyone else get this?

    This is relatively normal, the fact that you hear voices at night does not mean you are crazy. There are lots of people that experience stuff like this without being "crazy". Yeah, the "inbetween" stuff like hearing stuff is stuff that happens to crazy folks, but experiencing this sort of thing does necessarily mean your crazy.

    Same here, but it was in the past, especially in regards with the voices. You aren't crazy. It has to do with Astral Projection also known as Out of Body Experience (O.B.E).

    A month ago, while I was half-conscious, I saw people (2 to 3 of them) and I even had the thought that I acknowledged them to myself and my brothers. It's like being on drugs.

    I can lucid, but not frequently. The last awesome one is me having an awesome sword and having an adventure with my friends, saving a damsel, and slashing with the sword I got like I mastered it. And helping the protagonists of one of my favorite video games by firing a blaster pistol on their enemies.

    It's caked lucid dreaming. You can control it. But at the same time you can't. Everyone has it during their life. The people and voices are most likely spirits, the like to play tricks and talk to you. For example, say you fell asleep in a room and then you dream you are in that room and simone trys to pull your covers off so you put them back on, but in reality nothing has occurred... It can Also be a scary experience depending on what is occurring. This is just a type of communication. If you people reading this post disagree that spirits are not real good for you because they are. And at least once in everyones life they experience them in one way or another. It may have been as a child so you don't remember but it is a proven fact. Don't criticize this post.
    P.s. There are books and articles about people experiences. On lucid dreaming and such. I recommend to check it out.(;

    Your experiencing sleep paralysis. Sleep paralysis exists so ou don't act out what happens in your dreams and wake yourself up.

    The stage you are in is known as the hypnagogic stage and during this stage, visual and audio hallucinations can be experienced.. Everyone experiences this between wake and sleep, most people are just too tired and have their eyes closed to notice.

    That happens to me a lot. I call it half-sleep cause I don't actually know if I am dreaming or not. What makes it weird is the fact that half the time I actually am dreaming about it and half the time I'm not. I usually wake myself up out of it by thinking of an emergency like a fire or a death or something. That's the only way I have found to work for me.

    Either sleep paralysis or you're on the verge of astral projection. If you dream lucidly often, then I'd say it's closer to astral projection.

    That fallin feelin seems pretty normal, but the pain and shit seems schizo. I won't vote, but I just remembered a story I wanna post. Thanks!

    Its never caused me pain, but I get this feeling like I have a bunch of electricity pulsing though my entire body. I could see how that might become painful for some people.

    sleep paralysis. Ive gotten it. Its nothing really. Just remember that you'll be ok, and that you're in your bed. If you start worrying about it, it can turn into a night terror.

    Yeah, it's probably sleep paralysis and if that's the case it's normal.

    I think you better try sleep pills to not reach that "in between".
