Does anyone else experience a peaceful state of mind when waking up?

So i'm curious! Is it just me that can go to bed in the WORST mood ever just to wake up and feel at peace with myself and the world for about five minutes before it seems as if my emotions starts to work properly? I'm not waking up happy, just ... numb and peaceful.

So is this normal or am i just very lucky?

Wow, you get 5 minutes? Lucky you! It's usually only 5 seconds for me.:P

I thought this happened to everyone. That little moment where you can't really remember stuff and your mind is blank. It's nice. Not that I have anything horrible that I don't want to remember or anything. I'm just happier when I'm not thinking.

Maybe you've just had a good nights sleep. Everyone feels good after a good sleep!

It really depends on the circumstances how long it lasts! I was truly just curius to see hif others shared this experience. True that you are happy when you aren't thinking though xD

Yes! I just noticed this lately, but I usually wake up numb and peaceful, or completely depressed. Haha

  • It's sexual energy. I'm not kidding. The more sexual energy you have, the deeper the sleep.

I've heard that the real reason the some spiritual people have periods of celibacy is to deepen the mediation state. I've even heard that sexual energy is the most spiritual form of energy.

But anyway, it's a good thing.

Nope. To me it's exactly the other way around. I'll usually wake up with the most terrible depression (the later I wake up, the worse; and if I wake up too early then hardly depressed at all, but extremely lethargic). During the day I consciously revert that, and no matter how things went through the day, most of the times when I get back to bed at night it's like a safe place for me, and I feel really calm and peaceful, like I've left everything behind and nothing can affect me then.
