Do your ovaries twitch?

I feel like I'm asking a stupid question, but it's because my right one currently is. Like, it feels like it's having a party in there, or playing football or something. It's not painful as such, just odd and irritating. Usually one at a time, but sometimes both.

And yeah, I know sometimes you can get ovulation pains, but I've just finished my period yesterday, so I'm fairly confident I'm not ovulating. And I get those pains and this feels different.

I know I have felt indigestion pains in that area and I am sure I have felt mild muscle cramps in that area (which can happen if you strain your muscles in any way or don't drink enough water) but I have never felt my uhh... ovary to that manner.

It's possible that you might have some clotting or cystic activity going on in there or that your ovulation is being odd. I guess if you keep feeling that sensation, you should probably go see a doctor.

I dunno, I'm open to the suggestion it's something else in there, but I'm fairly sure it's an ovary.

I do have PCOS, so maybe that is a part of it, I never thought of that, thanks :) I'm not worried about it, it's just a weird feeling.

  • If they did I'd be very concerned as I have no ovaries to begin with.

I normally feel a little niggle, or twitch. It mostly happens a few days before I get my period, but occasionally it happens randomly. I've heard that irritable bowel syndrome can cause similar feelings, even like little bubbles popping.
If it gets painful, continues for days or you're really worried, just go to the doctor.

Thank you :) I think I was exaggerating a bit yesterday, it just was a stronger feeling than I've had before, it does feel like it did a flip or something. I don't think it's IBS, but it's something to rule out.

I did not know women could do this with them? I have a friend who can wiggle nose and ears but that is about it.

It's a party trick. Who needs ping pong balls when you can pop out some ovaries?
