Do you vote?

Do you or would you vote if you were old enough? I've always felt that if you do not participate (vote) you have no right to complain. What do you think?

It is my duty as a citizen to vote. However, it is my belief as a man that the system is flawed.

I remember watching the news during the Obama election. Some blacks were voting 10 -15 times for Obama. How the fuck are the even allowed to do that?.

What?! That's not fair. Maybe, they hacked into the voting machines? I hear that those digital voting machines can be tampered with.

    No, no- fuck that shit.
    I'm a nihilist at heart!

Apparently my brother, who has the exact same name as my dad, stole his vote...but then my dad gave him jury duty.

If I move to Australia, I'm required :(((

  • i vote as long as I understand what I am voting for.
The voting pamphlets are often worded so that most people do not understand them.
It is worse to vote for something without knowing exactly what you are voting for than to not vote at all.
Therefore I rarely vote unless I completely understand the subject.

    I vote, but I don't like to.

No. I keep forgetting to register. Another reason is that I'm 3rd party. It's hard to hear about 3rd party candidates. If I'm still living in America by 2016, I'll be voting for Jill Stein (Green Party). If not her, I'll probably go for a libertarian. My political beliefs encomposate both.

We have a ballot measure this year that allows for open primaries. That would solve this third party issue. Naturally, big politics are scaring the public into thinking it's something that it isn't. It is frustrating, but people are trying to solve the problem.

I don't vote, I believe the system is flawed. You can say I don't have the right to complain, whatever. However, I extend that to people who voted for the winner. You're the one that got him into office, whatever he does is partially your fault for electing him.

People have a right to complain about whatever they want. In my opinion.

And...keep in mind, there are limited options come election time, just because you vote doesn't mean you get what you REALLY need.

    That said, I don't vote; I don't complain.

Yes, I vote. And I agree. If you don't vote, your're complaints are meaningless. People are so quick to pop off at the mouth over sone issue that they didnt even bother to research or do anything about. Now I can understand that some people have a difficult time getting to a polling station but those arent the people complaining.

I can vote by mail so thats what I do. It's so easy. Except I missed the mail deadline, it was yesterday and I got stuck in a stupid meeting and didnt want to walk in the rain....excuses excuses . I know. I will drop it off at the elections office in my way in to work today. I promise.

I thouroughly enjoy not voting and still complaining, hipocracy is an American tradition, and I enjoy it to it's fullest extent.
