Yes, yes, it depends on the people.
Murders and rapists are not in the same league as Jesus and Gandhi. (Not saying I disapprove or support either, they were just general examples.)
Only my own and people I know a little bit. I don't really value the life of strangers.
I would, with joy and abandon, exterminate any person who, for instance, put a cat in a bag and beat it or threw it in the water. Or harmed any animal for no reason other than meanness. Or harmed another person for no other reason than hate and ignorance. Or these children who kill other children without remorse.
It's not that I value an animal's life over that of a person, or one person over another. Harming any creature for the sheer pleasure of it, is an sure indicator that that person is "broken" beyond repair. And anything broken beyond repair should be disposed of immediately, or it just clutters up our existence.
In all honestly probably not most. I welcome the deaths of those who have committed heinous crimes, send them to the gallows I say. A short drop and a sudden stop.
Not enough. It's really rare that I think of someone in another part of the world and wonder about their life or how they are doing.
Yes, it may be the most valuable thing. I think (and hope) that everyone places value on human life, although what value is another matter.
