Do you think you can fake your own death and start a new life?

You know, if there was a drastic situation where you had to, would you?

No - that shit's too complicated. 43
Yes - i'm sure I could pull it off if it came down to it. 46

Faking death-nearly impossible. Disappearing-nearly impossible, but more because most people are such babies and end up going back "home' or calling mommy. Or bragging or running their mouth after a while because they just can't contain themselves. People are so weak.

I'll say, no, I couldn't fake my death for sure, but I could absolutely disappear. I have. I can disappear yet never leave. People know so little about me.

Well-there's always non-extradition countries, too. I mean, what can they do if you go there? Nothing. You're free. Just don't be an idiot and come back home for a visit.

  • With enough knowledge and the art to use it, anything's possible.

And yes I would if I had to.

since there are so many illegal mexicans that try to make fake identities, make up social security numbers, even to the point that they use somebody else's number. there is so much of this among other similar things, they aren't successful, and they can't even make a fake identity anymore. forget trying to delete your own and making up a new one.

  • I could disappear and start a new life easy. I don't think I could fake my own death though.

    No.

However if you are male and really want to start a new life... Try the French Foreign Legion.

In fact IIRC you're actually *required* to adopt a new identity upon joining. I'm not sure if the new identity is legal in the US but it's legal for use in France at least

    =)

That was true in the past. Not anymore.

You don't get any new identity or anything and they will make a background check on you.

        Ah, yes and no.

Apparently as of September of last year you are no longer *REQUIRED* to use a new name. You can still however ask for one when you sign up.

If you wish you can spend your entire career under the fake name.

as for the background check... that doesn't mean they won't take you if they find stuff. that all depends on what's in your past and how bad it is.

and of course on whether or not you try to hide it from them. from what i've read you'll do better to tell them everything. Minor crimes will be ok, felonies not so much
