However, torture is shown to yield unreliable information.
People tend to say anything to save themselves when being tortured.
Yes torture is justified in certain circumstances. If someone ever killed my daughter and I got my hands on them, by the end of the session he/she would be begging for death....and then I would oblige....after a few more minutes.
No. It just makes you as bad as the people you are torturing. So then what, do we torture the torturer?

torture can be great for unleashing your own eveils on someone deserving (obv in you own opinion) but for gaining infomation? thats ridiculous... you cant gain correct infomation from someone by torturing them! if you torture someone they willl say anything.... admit to anything... obviously...
Yes, when death sentence is too much and warnings not enough, then torture is the answer. Remember, torture has many forms that are effective (mental torture by isolation from society by imprisonment). And many that are NOT effective (mainly those which cause internal body damage, or mental damage)
No, it is dehumanizing for both the victim and the perpetrator and there is no evidence that it actually yields good intelligence.
truth serum on a kidnapper who wont divulge where the victim is hid is ok
