Do you think this is normal??

Okay, so overall i am an average person, but for some reason other peoples problems feed me. I don't by any means mean that i am one of those people hang out with super needy, clingy people...I don't mean that type of problem. I like to help people, which i know sounds nice, and normal. When my friends come to me with a problem (ie: last year my friend thought that his friend's fathers death was his fault, because he and his best friend were fighting) I act like a therapist. I tell them what they should do, other things like a therapist. I don't know if it is just that i want my friends to be happy, and not stressed about that type of thing, or what.
What do you think??

I do it, too, for various reasons, but it ultimately all boils down to this: I love fixing things. Whether that be helping someone or repairing an actual object, I don't mind. I enjoy the challenge, but moreso the sense of satisfaction when I'm done, and also having made someone happy. There are times I will do something for another reason, though: I firmly believe that we should do what's right BECAUSE it's right. So you have to look within and ask yourself what your real motivation is. If it's a choice, have at it. But if it's a compulsion (eg: I know people who "can't" say no), maybe you need a therapist! :)

Im the same way, and so are all these dudes/dudetts^^^. It's why we comment on these pages. It's sort of one of those self-righteous martyr things. Get into health care and indulge, because for all the self-serving purposes that you do good deeds (because it feels good and feeds you), in the end, you're doing good deeds. One way that being selfish isn't being selfish. Being a helper is one of those beautiful paradox's. You do it for you for everyone else. Rock on, Duder.

what are you so worried about? So you love to give advice and play therapist. So do i. Hence my name. Just as long as you are giving proper advice coming from a genuine spot.

Emo chicks, 90%% makeup 10%% human tend to turn me on too. But let me tell you from experience, they're (not like me to steriotype) ALL attention seekers, and they'll just tease you. Good luck getting any more than a flirt and a smile. oh wait, emos don't smile...

Well... therapists tend to listen rather than tell somone what to do.

and if u like that sort've thing u should consider it as a career
