Do you think they will ever legalize marijuana?

There's a bill in the USA to federally legalize it every year. Eventually, given time, it will pass. It's ridiculous that something so harmless is banned while the poisonous and lethal alcohol still floods the streets. Fucking stupid fascists

Yes, I think so. It'd be a great way to get out of some of this debt we're in. Ending Prohibition was a major factor in getting us out of the Great Depression. That's a fact.

I think now that some states have de-criminalized it, we have models that show the positive economic impact. It's a good start.

Where I come from... it's already legalized (the Netherlands)
But I don't think America won't legalize it, because the government is way to conservative.
It would be a great decission though, because you can keep track of what's being sold.
Less garbage would end up being smoked and minors would have a way harder time getting it.

The first thing is that you need to realize there is no "they". "They" is the people. You are one of the people. You, as a citizen and a voter, have the power to make this happen.

Start a petition to get it on the ballot in your state and vote for it. People need to wake up and realize they aren't powerless.

Write your congressman and tell him a federal ban is not constitutional.

I see it being legal in maybe 15-20 years.. Only if things continue the way they're going. First gay marriage will be a little more widespread.. Then marijuana.

I can't tell you how many times me and my friends have argued about this whole issue. If one lays it down, marijuana is not nearly as dangerous as alcohol. Alcohol is addictive, Marijuana is only habit-forming. Alcohol kills and Marijuana never has. So is the difference in legality fair? Absolutely not. While i think it will be eventually legalized, I have no idea when.
I'm personally very concerned about pollution and global climate change, and my biggest reason for legalizing marijuana (yes, beyond smoking it!) is if marijuana was legal to grow and manufacture into hemp paper, we could stop cutting down all the damn trees, forever! Sustainable resources like hemp will have a massive impact on our planet, and i believe lawmakers will eventually realize their hesitancy is hurting a lot more than it is helping.

Washington and Colorado both legalized it last November and the feds are still throwing its weight around to prevent it.

Whoever says marijuana is supposed to decrease your risk of cancer, you sir/ma'am are a FUCKING IDIOT, it has twice the carcinogens as cigarettes which have lead to lung, throat and brain cancer, so it DOUBLES your chances. No they should not legalize it because for one it wouldn't bring in that much money, people would rather spend 5 a gram than 20 and would you want a bunch of high bastards walking around in the White House, senate or house? They should even make alcohol illegal! Anything that alters your normal state of mind should be made illegal I don't give a fuck what it is.
