    Nope.

    We're underrated on IIN. Everybody LOVES to hate themselves, it seems. Oh we're so cruel and evil and can't somebody kill off most of the population to save the trees and the orangutans because we're evil and parasitic and a cancer upon this world!?

    We're AMAZING animals. We might not always get it right, but nature is chaotic, and perfection is an impossible aspiration. We should be happy to be what we are, and strive to be even better.

    This seems to be an unpopular view. People prefer to be irrational or cynical. Pessimism is cool, apparently.

    Do you mean as in being humane or humans as a whole? Humanity is doomed because our species is so stupid and aims to kill itself. I think perhaps sacrifices might help. Since we have volunteers to doom themselves and others. 29 year old mom finds a boyfriend who killed 9 13 year old girls. She has a 13 year old girl. No problem at all... fucking sense people. 16 year old knows there is a paedophile in town and decide knowing this she should go ask him for candy. FUCKING BRILLIANT! We don’t deserve to be on the top of the food chain. Great job!

    I think people trying to demean humanity for some sort of image of deepness or wisdom are overrated.

    Humanity is creating new things every day, new possibilities. Yes, we end up cracking some eggs along the way, such as the environment or other species, but I would rather than that stop humanity's progression.

    I want to see more.

      I think it's a sort of adolescent, knee-jerk reaction some people have. They see the negative impact we have to the exclusion of the positive, and turn us into the antagonist.

      What's also kind of ironic is that a lot of these people celebrate nature, the wild, the organic, yet totally forget that we are a product of nature. We are animals - very successful animals - but still animals. Clever apes. We deserve to be in the position we're in, because we dragged ourselves here despite all the odds.

      I agree with you. We're in a constant push forward, and that includes trying to find ways to minimise our damage to the world around us upon which we rely. That's a good thing, and certainly preferable to saying, "Oh look at what a monster we've become", laying down and dying :P
