Do you think that a strong independent woman and a strong macho man..

would make a good couple? Just as an example, say a man and a woman, both in the Military, get together. Do you think it would last?? (Reason I say Military is because it's the best example I can think of for both strong men and women) I always figured that most men like being strong and brave for the women..would they apreciate a woman that doesn't really need someone to take care of her? I know to some people this may sound ignorant or something, but I was just hoping someone out there would prove me wrong beacuase I'm not exactly dependent on others and I tend to be a bit of a hardass sometimes--Just how I was raised.. I'm a girl by the way. Lol. Anyway I've always been attracted to masculine men--tough, hardworking, fit. I'm not saying this is the only way for a man to be masculine either it's just how I've always thought of masculine. Anyway would these kinds of men ever be attracted to me? I mean I would always appreciate it if he would always try to help me and protect me even though I don't think I need to be taken care of.. Does this make any sense?? Lol any way I would like some input on this.

  • Absolutely. This describes my 24 year marraige well. I'm much bigger and stronger than her physically, but she's very strong willed with emotion of steel.
We argue at times...but everyone does. When it's all said and done we are best friends. Been through a lot together.

It didn't work for me, as it was a constant competition to see who was going to be 'top dog' - even when having a conversation with a group of friends.

Sure, dating a buff woman would be cool. She could scare off any potential threats and intimidate people with her macho-ness :)

That's a really good question. I'm dating a military man but just a degree and will be earning more than him. I really don't depend on him at all and we do clash quite a bit but it works for the most part.
