I think sometimes it looks bad just because of a combination of the wrong bra-shirt combo. I see a lot of older ladies with a loose, deep V neck shirt and a completely unsupportive bra. Not flattering.
But, hey, wear what you want. It's no more inappropriate than what many other people are wearing, old or young. I'd rather see that than an 11 year old in Daisy Dukes and a tube top.

Why do old ladies wear such ill-fitting bras? It doesn't make any sense. It must be soooooo uncomfortable! Their boobs are almost down to their navel.
I have news for you and it'll happen to you too if you live long enough: normal natural boobs sag as their wearers age and if they're heavy too, holding them up with a bra can result in the actual weight affecting the woman's neck and shoulders ...... true ......... I know form personal experience ...
Boobs "down to the navel" are natural my friend and they're more comfortable hanging there than held up to where they don't belong anyway

I don't know who you're talking about but yr post says everything about you and nothing about older women: judgmental people like you need to have a think about the fact that we baby boomers are a large group in the population and that we have longer life expectancy than men, which means there are a lot of us grumpy (and still sexy) old women out here and lots of us are going to dress and act how we like. Get used to it. I don't judge you, so don't judge me ....
@davesumba Do you like sex? Nothing is wrong with feeling sexy, no matter what age you are. Showing skin can make you feel sexy. Sex is as important to our health as eating and drinking.
