Do you think of "curvy" as a shape or size?

A lot of women say they are curvy when they are obviously obese. They always say things like "I love my curves" when their waist is like the same size of their hips and, they have more than one double chin.

And guys says they like women with "curves" in the right places.

My opinion is a "curvy" girl is more on the slim side. I think " Curvy" can be a size "0" or "16" It all depends on the measurements. It's the same as being straight. A women can have a straight up and down body at size "0" and size "16" like a curvy size 0 is like "Denise Milani" she has DDD breasts with 19 waist (very skinny waist, could gain some weight in my opinion) No one complains about her being too thin because she has DDD breasts. Although, she is really thin being a size 0 with DDD. Most size 0 women have C cup breasts or less. So, having a DDD and fitting in a size 0 is very thin.

A curvy size 16 is like 36DD-32-44
A straight up and down size 16 is like 38D-36-42

Curvy girls are healthier than straight up and down girls. Belly fat is the most unhealthy kind of fat. So being "curvy" is good. Better than having a straight/round waist. I honestly don't think curvy girls are big. It's a shape and the shape makes a women look smaller and more feminine compared to women women with wider waists and smaller hips at same size. When a women has thicker waist and smaller hips she looks like she's manly shaped.

I think a lot of people use the word "curvy" without knowing what it means. A women can have have the measurements of 36-24-36 at 5'3 and can be tiny in person. Just because, a women has 36 inch hips doesn't mean she has a big hips/butt.It depends on frame size and height. 36 inch hips make a women look anorexic if she has wider hip bones.

So, what I'm trying to say (in case, you misunderstood) I think curvy is a shape that makes women look "smaller" not "bigger". Also, it makes other women jealous. I am not trying to offend anyone with this. No, I do not have the perfect body shape.

Do you agree curvy being a shape, or do u think it's more of a size?

    To me curvy means hour-glass or pear-shaped, not apple-shaped. I also dislike it when curvy is used as a euphemism for fat. If it just meant rounded, we might as well start calling men with beer bellies curvy, lol.

    You should have put an option for both shape and size because i think it can be both there are curvy skinny girls and curvy bbw

      nah, it wouldn't make sense to do both. and being bbw doesnt mean you're fat if you have a small waist in comparision to rest of you. so, not all bbw all obese.. I understand what you are saying though.

    Given how the word has been used, I usually think fat. Some girl with one of these ugly fat asses they keep talking about. Someone who needs to loose a few pounds.

    I'm a curvy 36DD, but I only wear a size 6! I just have a tiny waist- can't say it runs in my family though (all pears!), so who knows...xD

    When i say a girl is "curvy" I am saying (and pardon my strictly aesthetically inclined diction) that a girl has a vast majority of her "girth" located in her ass, or in her tits. That said, a 5'5'' 200 pound woman could be genetically inclined for a big ass and tits, and have such. However, a woman with the same BMI could be genetically inclined to store her fat viscerally. So one looks more hourglass, while the other looks apple.
    So my vision of curvy is the areas where the vast amount of the... person is located. Pardon the poor English. Hope this made sense.

      I have pretty much the body you described. I'm size 16 with 40D bra, 36 waist, and 44 hips. However I think its more a matter of opinion, because no one I know finds me attractive.
