Yes the goal was free tvs for all, and 14 dollar an hour minimum wage. Which currently people are still fighting for. It got so bad they had random homeless just sleeping around since they knew no one would disturb them. Some of the people their were not even part of the movement either.

Quite the contrary, there are people from all walks of life supporting 'Occupy'.
Nurses, teachers, construction workers, emergency service workers, desk jockies and of course yes, the unemployed as well.
I don't think they're pleading for charity, many of them genuinely want economic stability, and not the currently growing chasm between those barely surviving and the exceedingly rich.
Not to say there aren't those are just joining in without much thought. We will see who those ones are, just like we will see if/when the movement succeeds.

Please explain how increasing the minimum wage to 14 dollars an hour with an already broke government makes anything more stable? That is just going to make the dollar more worthless. The Us is already having that issue as they print more and more money but their is only so much gold/silver back it up. Meaning the money becomes more and more worthless. You can not add more money when their is barely anything to begin with. Us is on the verge on collapsing. People are starting to reject the US dollar.

No I think it's slightly hilarious because the people who are supporting it have most likely bought from major corporations. Also it's even worse that people in Canada are supporting it because our banks and bussiness' are probably among the best in the world. I just think a bunch of hipsters were bored and decided to "start a revolution."

Absolutely not! For anyone who actually read what they were fighting for you could see why I would be against it. One of the things on the list was "Free tv for all".
The people on wall-street are not moms with 3 kids they were greedy college students. They were probobly also spoiled rotten if they demand the government supply's them with free television sets.
Bunch of greedy fuckers. If you said yes you are probobly not aware of what they ask for or a rich entitled fuck who crys every-time mom and dad does not give to your every whim.

its much too radical for me but i like the idea of change. change to a greedy society. i wouldnt mind more regulation, bc many of our citizens are much too dumb to know whats best for them. my school just got famous for being peppersprayed and although the police were powertripping, they did ask politely more than three times to leave or else they would be forced to do so. now they want the chancellor to resign....for what again? a little to radical at times.

I support a solution (and really it’s not hard to see what needs to be done). What I don’t support is a group of fools without a leader and without practical solutions; only signs that read “Watch out rich people: you’re next” and “Blame the Jews”.

Take your money out of a bank and put it in a credit union? How about buy gold and silver....if this is 'only the beginning'? The credit union is only an uninsured bank, ultimately. What do you think would happen if everyone went to a credit union? They'd just become 'the bank'. Credit unions are better because most people don't use them, most people use banks. If most people suddenly used a credit union, what do you think the logical evolution would be?? Come on.
All you have to do in life is not let anyone have you by the balls. Not an employer, a bank, a store, an electric company...etc. That's all. And you've got it made.

I completely understand where you are coming from. But I don't think you want to hear what I have to say with an open mind. Not all banks are gambling with fake money. But the ones that are need to be sent a very clear message that the citizens of this country are not going to tolerate it anymore. We cannot turn a blind eye to the corruption that is driving the economy and the political system. Our government does not represent the people anymore, it is influenced by the greed of corporations that do not have the welfare of the people in mind. The people are mad and they are only getting angrier. And a credit union is insured by the government. The money just happens to stay within the community.
What do you think is the logical evolution of allowing the banks and government to continue as is? Do you believe our government is a representation of who you are and that they reflect your values?
Have you noticed that our current system does not encourage this life you think is so simple to obtain? How many people do you know who are under employed, unemployed, have no health care, or have debt? I bet a fair few.

I read your post, and I see what you are saying. My response is simply, how can anyone complain about a situation that THEY made? Rich people get richer because you keep giving them your money. So, stop. Then things will change.
The 'current system' has nothing to do with lifestyle. It's people. People just don't want to live simply and be self-sufficient, in general. No system makes this true, people make this true.
No, I don't believe the government reflects my values totally. In some ways, yes, there are things about this country's laws and procedures that I adore, and there's a lot that I hate. Fucking legalize drugs already, that's my main beef. But government should stay out of business affairs, for the most part. The government proves to us over and over that they can't manage even the simplest business affairs. I mean, come on, the Post Ofiice has NEVER turned a profit in all it's years. The DMV? That place sucks.
I think people shouldn't look to someone else to 'save' them or rescue them from poor choices. Just make better choices. Things will work themselves out.

There are so many grievances being discussed at the Occupations you cannot narrow it down to one issue. But the root is the same: money. Bad loans, no jobs, no health care, no voice, etc. The issue is far more complex than what can be captured in a sound bite.
True, some of the people did sign on that dotted line and create the situation. They freely chose to take out loans there was no way in hell they could ever pay back. The banks knew this, and did not care. They fed off the stupidity of the people. I wish people were more intelligent. But I do not believe this is a valid reason to throw them and their families to the wolves. And when the banks made a mistake...they got bailed out.
The current system has a lot to do with lifestyle. The consumerism encouraged by our system is a disgusting display of greed. We cannot continue living as if there is a never ending supply of resources. There is very little about self sufficiency built into the system. And as people wake up, they will find their voice. This actually is what the people want, simply to be self sufficient, and if the system isn't helping us achieve it. Let's change it! That is what we do.
I appreciate regulation. If I trusted business to regulate themselves I would want the government to stay out of it. However people are greedy and stupid. They would contaminate the groundwater of a community just to be able to buy a shiny new car. But even with regulations, some companies just move around to where the regulations are weaker, or decide to pay the fine for dumping toxic waste because it is less than the profit they can make.
And drugs? Sure legalize them, but that will require some regulation. Although it would certainly stimulate the economy.
The (US)post office is not a business, it is a government agency. It isn't supposed to make a profit.
"Just make better choices" I wish it were that simple. Saying I told you so to a homeless family will not help. And I do not believe the uprising is about wanting to be saved. It is about changing a fundamental flaw in the way our government is run. This is well within our rights. Get money out of politics, overturn Corporate Personhood, and keep it local.

AND: Chobani to Open Plant in Idaho-should employ up to 450 FULL TIME people

I personally think it IS that simple. I've done it. Saying I told you so is pretty effective. If you keep holding someone's hand and bailing them out and trying to protect everyone from everything. The only thing people need protecting from is their own dumb selves.
