Do you support "freedom of religion" laws?

Do you agree with the law in Indiana and the same law being considered in Arkansas?

I think they are no surprise in a country where in 16 states, it is legal for same sex couples to marry, but also for your employer to fire you for doing so.

Not in any way shape or form. As a matter of fact, perhaps it's religion that should be outlawed, when it's only purpose is to legitimize hate, bigotry and prejudice.

Buddhists are slaughtering muslims in Burma right now. Was a time they wouldn't even kill a fly or ant. Nope, there's no 'good' religion.

  • Yes, but 'freedom from religion' should be part of that law.

It sends the dumbest-ass message about Christ that one could send a community.

Because out of all of the "sinners and the wicked" out there
    Child molesters
Parents who beat and starve their children
Assholes who scam impoverished senior citizens out of their meager social security checks
"Friends" who encourage other friends to commit suicide
    Rapists
    Corrupt politicians and businessmen

...nope, it's the gay people here that they want to single out. THEY'RE the real problem. THEY'RE the ones we need to avoid for the sake of ours and our children's safety!

I'm not sure what the point of this new law is, Don't establishments already have the right to say no to serving people?

Not saying that I approve of their thought process but I thought they already had no compulsion to serve someone they didn't want to.

Nothing like using the God who preached "Love they neighbor" as a reason to discriminate.

I want freedom FROM religion and in particular no government subsidies to faith schools and no tax exemptions for faith organisations, whether that be churches, chapels, mosques, synagogues, temples, ashrams or anything else based on any religion.

I don't fully understand this new law in some states of the US, but what's to stop someone deciding their religion doesn't believe in racial equality and refusing service to black people? Or gender equality so they'll only allow men into their premises? The bible used to be used as an authority for slavery, didn't it?

I agree to an extent, but I also am in favor of separation of church and state.

Im for it insofar as one should be allowed to practice any religion (or not) they choose, but I do not think one should be allowed to impose their religious beliefs, values, or rules on anyone who does not wish to follow that religion.

I don't believe in any kind of freedom. I think everyone in our society should be locked up in cells 24/7.

No. I don't believe in freedom of speech, actually.

Everyone should be free do (or not to do) business with whoever he/she wants. No one should be forced to have a customer he/she dislikes for whatever reason.
