Do you suffer from health anxiety?

I'm constantly worried about my health. Just last week I thought I had tuberculosis (Thanks Google!) i think my doctor hates me because I don't believe her when she says theres nothing wrong! Anyone else have this problem???

Well, go to the doctor and if you don't like what she says, get a second opinion. They go to school for many years in order to read some scans and tell you that you are normal and you probably are.

The diseases that you see marches and fundraisers for ARE statistically uncommon. As in, most people don't get testicle cancer or thyroid cancer or diabetes... It's a good probability that if you are not living an excessively unhealthy lifestyle, have a family history of horrid illness, are seriously obese, drink, do drugs etc. then it's a safe bet that you'll live a healthy life, but you never know.

If you are attending your regular checkups and keeping somewhat of a healthy lifestyle then chances are, your worrying is for nothing and if you DO end up getting a debilitating illness, well, at least you're concerned enough with your health to catch it early and fight it.

I thought my brain was bleeding because I would get strange sensations in my head and from there on I've been a massive hypochondriac, I thought it could be brain cancer but my doctor refused to get me a CT scan then after that my bulimia came back and I was convinced that all the purging that I was doing had made my stomach weak and that I was bleeding internally it was just an upset bloated stomach, after that a couple of months later I was on my period and boobs usually grow during that time of the month but I thought I had felt a lump in my breasts cried the whole night and went to the doctor the next day it turned out to be nothing. I'm a bulimic and I live in the fear of the possibility of not been able to have children it consumes me. I used to take anti anxiety meds but they made me drowsy 24/7 and I had to stop taking them because I have to study. Exam season I'm always a wreck I'm an overachiever and that doesn't help my anxiety at all. Some days are better than others I'm normal 70% of the time but once that anxiety attack hits me I become a stranger to myself.

I'm somewhat a hypochondriac. Or at least.. I think I am. It's not super serious though.
