Well, do ya?? Do you go get plate after plate of food and conceal it in a purse or pockets?
Of course I am talking about buffets that have strict no take-out/doggy bag policies.

All you can eat means what you eat in the establishment. It doesn't mean stuff your pockets full.
That is stealing. I do not candy-coat things just to make people feel good about what they're doing.
No not stuff your pockets, thats crazy, I mean your pockets can only hold so much food and they will get all nasty and stuff.
Best thing is to have a female bring a nice sized purse and line it with aluminium foil and bring a couple of small zip lock bags just in case for the wet stuff.
When you get back to the table just slide the goodies in the bag...hehehehe Just like going trick-or-treating.
I work as a buffet cook and if you were friends with me id give you everything you wanted......considering your a girl!!!but yeah it would depend on how you treated me what id let you get away with....omg im creating a serial buffet stealer!!!we have them now and hes best friends with the manager its gotten pretty bad so dont get compulsive about that shit it wil eff you up for sure...
I admit I've taken home some cookies I'd put on the dessert plate but didn't finish in the restaurant. Is that stealing, or just finishing the meal you already laid out for yourself? What happens to that food if I then don't eat it, will it be thrown away and be completely wasted? That seems like a much larger moral dilemma (wasting food) than whether taking home the cookie you laid on the plate but didn't finish while seated inside the restaurant.

I usually just go for the eat so much you don't want to eat for the rest of the day tactic...
If i'm at Souplantation I'll only take like a brownie or some cookies, but no more than 3 things in a napkin.
Yea a friend did this once because she put too much food on her plate and the place we were at charged you for leaving food on your plate sooo...
I don't know anyone who has done that but we always joked about it. If my parents went to a buffet, I'd tell them to bring me back some but of course, they never did.
