I did it a couple of times, but I don't get why people make so many posts about weed. For example, I like to drink Guinness, but I feel no need to compare my Guinness usage to that of others.
Sometimes I feel like all the internet can talk about is the friendzone, cannabis and lolcats.
Why yes I do. :) And I really wish we could strike the name marijuana from the record.... marihuana is a completely different plant. They just slapped that name on canabis back in the 30s cause it sounded scary and wanted it associated with illegal immigrants.
I don't always smoke marijuana, but when I do, I get the munchies.
Stay ravenous, my friends.
Yes, and I enjoy it thoroughly. I think it is smart to do things that are enjoyable. Therefore, people who light up are smart.
I like to think, and pot helps me think more seriously than I usually do. Everything in life becomes simpler, and I can have a great time just taking a shower.
Getting high is also a fabulous idea if you are planning to have sex, masturbate, watch porn, or some combination thereof.
I think many people believe that if you smoke pot at all, you are bound to become a daily user. That is nonsense, since pot really creates no cravings for repeated use and is far less addictive than alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, and many other things.
No. I've known some pretty cool people who do or used to, and some pretty cool people who tried it and didn't enjoy it. I'd try it myself if I was curious, but I'm not really right now. There was a huge propaganda drive at my school when I was 12 or 13, specifically targeting my year because a couple of kids in my year were expelled for bringing weed into school (not to sell it or smoke in school, just to use after school). To be fair they were the sort of lads you weren't too sad to see the back of, but an expulsion seemed very harsh to me and to everyone else. No-one really believed anything bad they'd tell us about weed after that :P
I've read more scienfitic and medical journals on cannabis than I care to think about, and while it has some effects on memory it doesn't decrease cognitive functioning, it doesn't kill brain cells or any of that propaganda.
A lot of old studies on cannabis used flawed methodology. There's a lot of misinformation floating around, it can get really hard to know what's true and what isn't.

This is one of my favorite references, nice and concise and answers all of most people's questions. Sources are at the bottom of the page
Tried it back when I was 14...30 years ago. Smoked too much & freaked out. For a long time I thought I'd permanently fucked myself up. Haven't touched it since, but have no problem with those who do partake.
Smoking is for losers who cant deal with simple problems.(stress, school, friends, family, etc)
