I'm a chicken. I have to sleep with a TV on or a hallway light on or else I can't sleep. An irrational fear of supernatural beings and armed robbers is to blame. :/
Im the same way actually. My brain never shuts off. So when I sitting in a dark room I imagine all the things that could come and murder and rape me. I tend to be just as paranoid in the day but honestly I have things to do so it just turns into obsessive compulsive procedures. Though I actually okay if I know I am not the only human in the house.
I'm not 5 anymore so I don't need them on, I can still fall asleep when they're on though.
It's a talent really, I can sleep anywhere anytime
I'm good with them on or off really.
It's probably because of my time in the Navy. When working the night-shift you have to get use to sleeping in the day with the berthing lights on.
In the night, I leave them on. Otherwise, I get scared.
When, the light of the approaching morning starts peeking through my curtains, I turn off the lights. I find it a bit strange to keep the lights on when it's light outside.
Off if someones with me. I haven't had to turn them on since I moved in with my boyfriend. When I moved in with my dad and his girlfriend I had my own room and I couldn't sleep with the lights off. Sometimes they would yell at me about it and I'd have to turn them off but then I wouldn't be able to sleep until the sun came up.
I don't like it when the lights are on, but if there's a lamp on, I can handle that. Although, I need to sleep with the TV on, or at least music playing. For some reason I can't go to sleep in complete silence.
Not frequently. I have a little "night light" in the corner of my bedroom, it gives out just enough light to allow me to stand up and move about safely without turning the lights on.
I like to sleep in the dark, but the street lights give my room a bit of an orange glow. I'm not too picky though.
I used too. I'm still scared time to time of the dark but I force myself to sleep with the lights off anyway.
