Do you refuse to have sex if love isn't involved?

I would prefer to love, be loved, and then have sex. I'd rather have sex with myself than with someone I didn't have an emotional connection with. I love myself.

Frankly, I don't like sex. But when I do have sex, it's with someone I already have a romantic attachment to for a while. I don't like the idea of using people or having one night stands- that kind of thing is shifty. I don't see the point in having sex with someone if it wouldn't mean anything.

I couldn't imagine having sex with someone that I didn't at least like a lot. Sometimes it takes a long time for two people to realize they love each other.

Apart from 2 relationships the longest one lasting 2 months without sex (Don't ask) and the next longest one was for a month and we had sex 3 times. My life has just been full of straight forward one night stands. So no for me love doesn't have to be involved. xx

In all honesty I could really take sex or leave it. If I had to answer the question I would say sex makes sense more if you actually love the person and it is certainly more enjoyable as well. That being said I have definitely had sex with people I didnt love before.

Our society places way too much emphasis on sex and the actual act of it as being a necessary part of existence. I can understand physically a body could have needs regarding to sexual activity, but some people would equate sex with a basic body need. A basic body need is oxygen, water, and food. Comparing sex to any of these things is ludicrious, they arent even in the same league.

I could go without sex the rest of my life and it wouldnt be something I regret or even noticed missing.

I honestly don't know. I used to think that I wouldn't ever have sex if there were no feelings for the other person, but some things kinda changed me, haha. This guy and I had this sort of, flirty thing going on, and we had feelings for each other, but decided not to get together (for various reasons) Although we still flirt, and a long time has passed since then, I have no feelings for him at all any more, but honestly, I couldn't say no. Although saying that, I wouldn't do it with someone I didn't really know, haha.

3-4 more years and the kid will be on his own. Resenting your parents for what they made you go through is normal but don't displace your anger onto your kid. Seeing a psychologist will probably help you get through alot of crap your parents tried to sweep under the rug years ago.

I think I would refuse. But it would depend how hot she was and how horny I was; I might concievably get caught up in the moment but I'd probably regret it. I don't have a very high sex drive; the idea of sex doesn't motivate me much but I'm definitely not asexual.
