Movies definately. :) its nice to sit down and watch somthing that will give you the whole story and makes you feel like clapping, crying, celebrating even screaming!! :) they can capture things with a TV Show cant :/ :)
Shows > Movies
Not because of the quality of the shows but because they take place over a period of time, making it feel like you were there and a part of it.
I watch TV shows more often, they're broken down into 30-60 minute chunks so I normally have more concentration when watching them.
I do watch movies too though, I just have to be in the mood and then I will really get into the story... most recently for me it was V for Vendetta.
TV shows last longer and so you have more time to develop plotlines and chrachters
Watch a few good shows but their just too dam long! but then the movies just aren't long enough! grrr =#
You clearly haven't watched the Tv programme "Dexter". If you had, then this whole pole would of been obviously answered.
I prefer TV shows because they go for longer and therefore have more time to develop and flesh out characters, as well as for storylines.
Dexter is the best show ever, and I would like TV shows more anyway. They are just longer movies.
I like both movies and shows.
Right now though, to my disappointment, I do not get to watch movies very often. Also for the television shows, I never get to follow them properly anymore (the last show that I watched with dedication was probably Pokemon[before the new stuff], and that was about 10 years ago). Even if I did have the dedication that a good show deserves, I still wouldn't be able to watch them sometimes because digital television reception sucks balls most of the time. So, really, I am just biding my time until I can get a kick-ass internet connection and do a bunch of catching up on movies/shows that I have missed. Oh, and video games too. Damn I miss call of duty online multiplayer...
Neither.
Sometimes I'll see a movie in the theatre if it's good enough but these days they hit the dvd stands within 3-4 months anyway.
I also do not watch regular TV; the unit here is hooked up to a DVD player and the gaming system only.
So most of my exposure to movies and TV are via the same delivery methods - DVDs. Therefore neither one is preferred.
Um, I'm picky, so either has to be GOOOOOD. TV shows I watch are Intervention, Hoarders, Survivor. I like very few movies, the last few I truly liked were Devil's Rejects and Tucker and Dale vs Evil.
my only prob with tv shows, is that i feel like i have to watch the entire series to receive a sense of closure for those shows that i really really love. even if the series turns to shit towards the end like Weeds. at least with movies, i can be done with them in a less than a couple of hours and move on to something else.
I love both too much to decide but if I was forced then probably movies because besides reality shows , cartoons, and some crime & investigation shows, and some competition shows I don't really watch TV.
