Aha. I just kinda recently got in to PC gaming. My computer ain't too great to be honest and definitely needs improvement. It can still play those games I mentioned in my options but with the options turned down low except for Minecraft and PayDay2. I don't know how in the hell PayDay2 runs so well with good settings yet other games need to be turned way down low. Some other games work well on it too, like Outlast.
So overall, I'm a noob at PC gaming. My gaming bud knows more about it and my mother's boyfriend is a comp wiz so I use their help 95% of the time. Aha. :P
Well, everyone has to start somewhere. I prefer my PC (which i actually built myself), but i keep an open mind to all gaming platforms really. Consoles are what kept me into gaming.
Yeah, mine is built a bit aswell but not with anything that's even passable to modern standards I would say. Tried to play PayDay2 again and FPS was just terrible on the new jobs on it. Sucks. But yeah, we all have to start somewhere. :P
Yeah, when it comes to PC gaming I tend to only go on it when I'm going on with my gaming bud but when I just want to relax and play a videogame I tend to go for a console. I guess it's probably got to do with how you have to lean in to use the keyboard and mouse, where as with consoles you can just sit back and veg while playing. :)
Very true about the input methods. Gamepads typically have less inputs than a keyboard which equates to a lower learning curve and many people prefer them because of that as well as the different feel of using joysticks. On the flipside though, there is more customization options when using a keyboard. The precision of a high quality mouse is unbeatable as well. Did you know that nowadays, however, most PC games support xbox controllers? If the PC game itself has controller support, it's straight up plug and play. That simple :)
I actually use both.
I would recommend building a good PC if you're somewhat technically inclined. It's definitely an investment. It takes some dedication too... But it's SO worth it!
I used to play WoW about 3 or 4 years ago. Now I just play Starcraft and some CoD occasionally.
I used to play Halo: Reach; I frequented team snipers. I don't play anymore because I don't want to pay for gold. Nowadays I play stealth games.
Last game I played was Mario on Nintendo. Woe is me.
I'd love to play the Homeworld series but it's probably too late.
Destiny. Lol, w.e its fun and totes reminds me of SWTOR and my man levels me up while I stuff my face and feed him at the same time. We have a buddy system going.
The game I'm currently playing is Dragon Ball Xenoverse. That game is fun but at the same time it's a pain in the ass.
Off the top of the head favourites;
The Elder Scrolls series
The Legend of Zelda series
The Serious Sam Series
The DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi series
Super Mario Advance
Resident Evil 4
And much more
That stuff is just way toooo old, unless u're talking TRANZIT, if u are, then I'd call u a true gamer :D
